Doug Collins accuses Jerry Nadler of 'wildly inaccurate' Mueller report claims
The ranking Republican on the House Judiciary Committee on Monday blasted Chairman Jerrold Nadler, accusing the Democrat of making ?wildly inaccurate claims? about the Mueller report.
In recent media appearances, Mr. Nadler, New York Democrat, has claimed special counsel Robert Mueller ?made it very clear? he wants Congress to reach a determination on whether President Trump obstructed justice.
But Rep. Doug Collins, Georgia Republican, says that just isn?t true.
?[A] plain reading of the report does not at all indicate ? let alone make ?very clear,? as you claim ? the Special Counsel intended for Congress to decide whether President Trump obstructed justice. In fact, it is the exact opposite,? Mr. Collins wrote in a letter to Mr. Nadler.
Mr. Collins wrote that even if Mr. Mueller did make that request of Congress, they could not act upon it because it is ?neither a prosecutorial nor judicial body.?
?The absence of any statement asking Congress to serve in a prosecutorial capacity in an obstruction of justice case should not be surprising, because that is not Congress?s role ? it is the role of the Justice Department,? Mr. Collins wrote.

No no, you don?t see that I?m on your side....impeach Trump!! Go green deal and I love AOC!!! For once we agree!!! Go Beto or Pete or whoever you guys love this week. I am behind you, 100%!
Come On Democrats, Impeach Trump!
Listen to the Voices, Democrats. Impeach Trump.
Impeachment is a moral necessity! It was so obvious from the way the Mueller Report says that Trump was innocent of whatever collusion is, and that he cannot be proven guilty of whatever obstruction is, that he?s totally guilty of both! The truth is in there, behind the redactions, in the emanations, lurking under the penumbras. William Barr can?t hide it any longer!
The #Resistoids aren?t crazy. You?re crazy.
So why won?t Nancy Pelosi allow the valiant defenders of goodness and rightness who are the left-of-the-left Democrats to bring articles of impeachment in the House? Cowardice. She?s afraid, afraid of justice. Why do you hate justice so much, Nancy?
You must impeach President Trump today!

morekaos said:Let me tell you what will happen...the summary is accurate. Barr and Mueler will back that up in any subsequent testimony or questioning. Please, proceed with impeachment, it?s a desperate blind ally (and Nancy knows it) that will only help the President get re-elected. Smith is infecting the whole field of candidates now.

Democrats' Relentless, Fruitless Hunt for the Great Orange Whale
The most important news, of course, is the report?s basic findings. It clearly demonstrates Russia tried to influence the 2016 election and favored Trump, but it kills the assertion that Trump or his campaign cooperated with them. For two years, Democrats and the mainstream media said the opposite about Trump ? repeatedly, loudly, insistently. To continue that attack now is ludicrous. That doesn?t mean they will retract, apologize, or return their Pulitzer Prizes. They prefer to change the subject.
Escaping criminal charges is not exactly high praise for a president. Still, the Mueller team?s refusal to indict carries special weight because the prosecution team was stacked with Democratic donors and close allies of Hillary Clinton. That provenance shows throughout the report, which reads like opposition research, equipped with subpoena powers.
After the report was finished, the DoJ made a clear-cut decision on obstruction: no indictment. Democrats immediately slimed Attorney General Bill Barr as a political hack, doing Trump?s bidding. It is important to note, however, that Rod Rosenstein reached the same conclusion. Democrats have spent the last two years defending Rosenstein, the department?s second-ranking official and the man who appointed Mueller and supervised his team. Now, they are stuck with his decision.
The report hands Democrats another harpoon, but it is not a lethal one. The Great Orange Whale still swims free. It is the frenzied sailors ? the ones who began this hunt and want to continue it ? who now face real peril.

No Melville at Montessori? ;D
morekaos said:No Eye, I don't think you're getting the "nuance" of those jokes. Montessori is a chain of progressive private schools. There are several in Irvine but they are all over the country.
morekaos said:Yes, it was a joke based on a generalization of those that send their kids to that brand of school. Just like saying people who attend Cal are usually liberal in their view of the world. It's an observation containing some truth but by no means a statement of total fact... a joke. There, now you took all the fun out of it
morekaos said:Of course they do. My kids go to private school but I can tell you for fact that ideology plays into parents decisions on where to send their children an spend their money. I know for fact that many conservative parents chose not to use Montessori for those reasons just as I know some who did. I also know many who avoided Catholic schools for similar reasons. Its a fact that some systems will attract like minded families, and yes thats a generality but it holds true.
