Monopoly for Millennials: Angry Millennials React on Twitter

The game cover, accompanied with the tagline ?Adulting is hard. You deserve a break from the rat race,? features a ?cool? Mr. Monopoly taking a selfie, wearing a ?participation award? pinned to his chest, and drinking a latte. A camera, a pair of sunglasses, and a hashtag are included among the game pieces, and there are no properties for the players to buy ? instead, players collect ?experiences;? for example, this edition replaces the original game?s Park Place with a ?3-Day Music Festival,? while other experiences include a vegan bistro, bike share, and a yoga studio. There?s also no rent to pay and no real estate to buy because, as it says on the front of the box, ?Forget real estate. You can?t afford to buy it anyway.? The game also recommends you ?play it in your parents basement.?

genius!  monopoly has been around for decades in countless versions, but there's not a lot you can do that hasn't been done already to push sales.  despite the minority of loud voices of triggered and outraged millennials, the vast majority of people will think this is hilarious.  it is a very trump-esque way of getting free marketing and i expect sales for this version to be a huge hit for the holiday season.

To be fair, he claims that she hit him first.

Good riddance I say . Especially this early in the election cycle , before he could do much damage

But my conspiracy minded MAGA friends - how do you know this is not some George Soros conspiracy to knock him out quickly and early and remove the nuisance for democrats

Cogent defense Arguments like that is why he is such a high paid lawyer. Like Atticus Finch he is shrewdly deploying the ?she hit me first? defense with devistating effect

Came across this and left me scratching my head

Daily caller ? President Trump accuses people of changing their clothes and returning to cast additional ballots in disguise.  ?Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again."

Kind of like TI members who keep changing their avatar ? who is the latest iteration of YF now

Well..at least they have dropped the fascade.  It has always been about the feels and emotions.

Cause it wasn't a beating. No Blue Wave.  Lost the house by below average losses for a first term president.  Gained seats n the Senate, Still hold a lead in Governors Mansions.  Whats not to like?  Economy humming, Stock market doing what the stock market does but in the end will still advance.  Now if the Bruins can spank the Trojans Saturday my week will be brighter. The Kaos and entertainment continue...love it!!!

Democrats won the House, but Trump won the election

While Tuesday night was not a complete win for Republicans, there was no blue wave, either. By most measures, Republicans beat the odds of history and nearly everyone?s expectations, while Democrats were left disappointed as the fantasy of Beto O?Rourke, Andrew Gillum, Stacey Abrams and others winning fizzled. Not one new progressive Democrat was successful bursting onto the scene. It will take a few days to process the meaning of this year?s election returns, but the instant analysis is clear: Democrats may have won the House, but Trump won the election.

As I always say, in politics, what is supposed to happen tends to happen. I predicted in August that the Democrats would take the House but that alone was not enough for most Democrats. As much as this year?s midterms offered an obvious opportunity to rebuke President Trump, little of what the arrogant Democrats and members of the mainstream media expected would happen actually did. So much of what they said turned out to be wrong that it will take a while before the significance becomes clear. And if the 2018 midterms prove anything, it is that Trump is standing strong while Democrats and their allies who thought Trump would have been affirmatively rejected are in fact the ones who have themselves been denied.

Yeah...the GOP.

nrakich (Nathaniel Rakich, elections analyst): It was, by any historical standard, a blue wave. Democrats look like they?re going to pick up around 38 House seats, which would be the third-biggest gain by any party in 40 years (after Republicans in 2010 and 1994). The Senate moved in the opposite direction, but not by much, and it was a very difficult map for Democrats anyway.

And Democrats won the House popular vote by 6.8 percentage points, according to preliminary data from the Cook Political Report. And Cook?s Dave Wasserman thinks continued vote-counting in California should bring Democrats to well over 7 points. That would be the third-highest popular vote margin of any election since 1992 (behind Democrats in 2006 and 2008).
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/yes-it-was-a-blue-wave/

Democrats have flipped four GOP seats in the Golden State thus far, while two other races in red districts are still too close to call.

If those both break in Democrats favor, California Republicans will see their ranks chopped nearly in half.

If the GOP loses both Walters's and Royce?s seats, the California delegation would go from 14 Republicans and 39 Democrats to just 8 Republicans and 45 Democrats.

Trump lost basically all of the suburbs and most of the swing states.  Nevada and Arizona are getting bluer and bluer...states like Texas and Georgia are actually in play.  GOP lost a ton of state elections as well.

This and the Presidential elections are NOT by popular vote.  Obama lost 68 seats in 2010, now that's a wave.  2 years is along way away gents.  Much can change.

don't you worry, trump will win reelection in 2 years and with pelosi back at the helm we will likely see history repeat itself as democrats are finally held accountable for all their resisting and investigating over the next 2 years.  i hope i'm proven wrong for the left's sake, as the true test will be if the democrats actually work for the american people instead of against trump.  the fact is, over just 2 years the american people have seen more growth and positive legislation than all of obama's 8 years combined.  if all of that comes to a stop for the next 2 years and we see a "blue recession", you can take it to the bank that any momentum or races "in play" will be right back to solid red come 2020.  trump is a genius marketing machine and you know he will be comparing 2 years of full republican control and strong economic progress to the next 2 years of dem house control.
