aren't we saying the same thing - you vote based on attributes you find useful for your personal advantage.

You are essentially optimizing an objective function subject to your self imposed constraints .

hence, we don't have to bring acrimony for the other side into these discussions.  Yes,  __ is a pig or ___  but I don't care because ___ .  Now  fill in the blanks.

we don't need to wrap ourselves up in morality and hatred for the other side to be able to logically state the above

It sounds like you vote for your own self interests and optimize for that.  I vote based on what I think is in the best interests of the citizens of our country.

Again with the preaching and sermonizing  ... You don't like regulation because maybe it hurts you as a business owner.  But you have no problems when thousands or millions or citizens get scammed or duped because of lax regulation and oversight.

Do you have sympathy or concern for the citizens of color who get discriminated against or harassed by law enforcement or those who feel scared to remove their hands from their pockets lest they get shot (after all they were only asking for it) ?

What you are really saying is ... " I vote based on what I think is in the best interests of the citizens who look and act and think like me "    - there , fixed it for you  : )

These are lame strawman arguments.  Let's talk when you want to have a serious discussion.

LL, my Friend, don't waste your time on that raving Leftist.  He  simply talks to hear himself, and then marches away claiming victory.  The supercilious pomposity of liberals is part of their psyches.  They never change, because that would be admitting they were wrong.  When has THAT ever happened?

You have ALREADY wrapped yourself up in hatred, not in morality, in hatred for the other side.  You stalk me in the pettiest, most hateful manner.  You  can't separate the subject from the personality. I mention a point, and you respond by calling me names, because that's what your handlers have taught you to do for decades.  Those  of us you despise you demean as "racists" and "fascists."  You call all of us "stupid" and "anti-science."  That way, you don't have to discuss issues and facts, which in any case, don't even matter to you.

So stop stalking and harassing me.
Try discussing ISSUES, instead of simply condemning the PERSON you hate so much.
Can you possibly do that?  Or is your contemptible conduct so ingrained that you can no  longer help yourself?

Man you  really need therapy with these non stop rants of yours ? this is not that type of forum you are looking for ? reddit would better suit you

Anyways , I will leave you be .

Looks like the ?recent posts ?  link is again busted with resurgence in all this right wing nuttery plastered all over

Man Frequently Compared To Hitler Recognizes Jerusalem As Israel?s Capital
JERUSALEM, ISRAEL?A man whose detractors frequently compare him to Nazis and even Adolf Hitler fulfilled a promise Monday by moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem and officially recognizing the historic city as the capital of Israel.

The man, none other than President Trump, made the move long requested by Jews living in Israel in a show of good faith, all while being called a ?fascist, Nazi dictator? by various media outlets.

?This man is even worse than the Nazis,? a commentator on CNN said during a live report on the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem. ?President Trump is literally?and I say this without any exaggeration or embellishment?he is literally Adolf Hitler reincarnated.?

I would LOL but it's serious stuff.

North Korea has cancelled high-level talks with South Korea because of anger over military exercises, state media reports.

The North's official KCNA news agency said the exercises between the US and the South were a "provocation".

It also warned the US over the fate of the historic summit between Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump that is scheduled for 12 June.

Food stamp recipients down 2M under Trump, USDA figures show
Since Donald Trump became president, the Dow Jones industrial average has climbed to 25,000 and fewer Americans are unemployed.

Another interesting fact: The number of people collecting food stamps has declined by more than two million.

Yes...it's another Obama trend that Trump inherited.

It?s true that the number of people enrolled in SNAP initially increased during the Obama administration ? reaching a peak average monthly enrollment of 47.6 million in fiscal year 2013. That rise was a consequence of the deep recession that began in 2007, according to a 2012 report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

However, as the economy recovered and poverty and unemployment rates decreased, so did SNAP enrollment, according to the USDA?s Economic Research Service. Enrollment was down to 42.7 million in January 2017, when Obama left office.

That decline has continued under Trump.

Enrollment went down by 1.35 million from January 2017, when Trump took office, to December 2017, according to the most recent monthly figures from the USDA, which administers SNAP. By comparison, enrollment declined by 1.88 million over the same time period in 2016 when Obama was president, from 44,852,347 in January 2016 to 42,969,079 in December 2016.

The number of SNAP recipients increased by 9 million under Obama.  9 MILLION!!

I agree Trump inherited that disgraceful trend, but through sheer MAGA winning, and 12-dimensional chess, he turned that trend around and the number of SNAP recipients has declined by more than 2 million on his watch.

Here is a link to the raw SNAP data: https://www.fns.usda.gov/sites/default/files/pd/34SNAPmonthly.xls

Jan 2017 ~ 42,676,312
Feb 2018 ~ 40,032,131

February is the latest month available, and yet that is a decline of 2.6 million recipients since Trump took office.  If you were to include the declines from March, April, and May of this year I'm sure it would be over 3 million by now.

So you're right Irvinecommuter, my headline is wrong.  It should say:

Food stamp recipients down 2M 3M under Trump, USDA figures show

Seriously...do you even care about reality or facts?

High point was 47.2 million in 12/2012...by 1/2017...it was down to 42.7 million.  A decrease of 1.88 million between January 2016 to December 2016.  The decrease was 1.35 million between January 2017 to December 2017.

Even your article states:

USDA figures since show that the program has gone from costing taxpayers about $250 million for about 2.8 million recipients in 1969, under President Richard Nixon, to a peak of costing nearly $80 billion for nearly 48 million recipients in 2013, under President Barack Obama.

The numbers have declined since then, in part because of the booming economy and because some states have restored work requirements needed to qualify for SNAP, Fox News reported. In many cases the work requirements had been waived because of the recession of 2007-09..

Oh..what happened to that incredible 1Q GDP that was to be coming?

Do I care about facts?  I just posted raw data to debunk your "fact checking" liberal propaganda.  LOL...

There is no disputing that SNAP participation dropped by 2M under Trump, and it's actually closer to 3M.  Everything else from you is just spin.

I suppose this trend started under Obama too... but guess who gets the credit?  :)

The number of 401(k) plan millionaires hits new high
Even though recent market swings are no joke, some retirement savers are laughing all the way to the bank.

The number of Fidelity 401(k) plans with a balance of $1 million or more jumped to a record 157,000 in the first quarter, up from 108,000 a year earlier, according to Fidelity Investments.

Wow, that's a 45% increase in 401k millionaires in one year!!  Put that in your fact-checking pipe and smoke it.  LOL..
