This and the Presidential elections are NOT by popular vote.  Obama lost 68 seats in 2010, now that's a wave.  2 years is along way away gents.  Much can change.

Of course it is but again...blue wave happened.

GOP won 2010 with +6.8%...Dems will exceed that in 2018.

don't you worry, trump will win reelection in 2 years and with pelosi back at the helm we will likely see history repeat itself as democrats are finally held accountable for all their resisting and investigating over the next 2 years.  i hope i'm proven wrong for the left's sake, as the true test will be if the democrats actually work for the american people instead of against trump.  the fact is, over just 2 years the american people have seen more growth and positive legislation than all of obama's 8 years combined.  if all of that comes to a stop for the next 2 years and we see a "blue recession", you can take it to the bank that any momentum or races "in play" will be right back to solid red come 2020.  trump is a genius marketing machine and you know he will be comparing 2 years of full republican control and strong economic progress to the next 2 years of dem house control.

Pretty sure you and your cohorts didn't think that the Blue Wave was going to come in 2018.

LOL...Trump has passed one major bill...the tax cut.

GDP:

2010:  +2.3
2011:  +1.6
2012:  +2.2
2013:  +1.7
2014:  +2.6
2015:  +2.9
2016:  +1.5

2017:  +2.3

Saying something a bunch of times (blue wave) will not make it so.  Looking forward...By eliminating Avanatti Trump has freed up the "Creepy" moniker so it can be stuck on some else's back...Love this stuff!

Trump has picked his nicknames for potential 2020 election rivals and 'CREEPY JOE' is his favorite for Biden
Trump's current pick for a nickname for Joe Biden is reportedly 'Creepy Joe'
The nickname is supposed to be in reference to the former Vice President's alleged frequency in touching and kissing strangers and staffers
President Donald Trump used the nickname while at a Nevada rally in October

I see very little entertainment value in the leader of our country acting like a 3 year old and calling people names.  But hey...to each his/her own.

ah yes, because gdp is the sole indicator of economic strength  ::)  but since you're keen on using that as the sole indicator, check back in Q1 2019 when 2018 numbers are in and the trump economy is over 3% on the year, something obama failed to achieve in 8 years.

but let's get back on topic - what really matters to voters?  jobs, money in their bank account, and optimistic outlook.  all of these figures are in the black for trump and it will be the wind in his sails through 2020.

i agree with morekaos.  fortune will call this feeling "owning the libs" for the 10th time this week, but it's much more than that.  trump is a fighter, unafraid to back down from anyone, and someone who truly loves this country.  something we've needed for far too long.  and trump brings it all: toughness, jokes, sincerity, and honesty.

must be terribly stressful to live in a constant state of turmoil.  but hey...to each his/her own  :)

That's why its so fun to push liberals' buttons because they take themselves so seriously. Everything is an affront. Every day is an outrage.

It's no fun to score off a person with a sense of humor because that person would just laugh or brush it off.  With liberals, on the other hand, lob the grenade, get the popcorn, and watch the fireworks!

That's why it's strange so many Republicans lost in the last election. Why do you think that was? Usually when the economy is this good people are filled with irrational exuberance. What's different this time?

That?s right everything is an outrage. How about the benefits for the veterans this is an outrage! They have not received their GI benefit payments.

?vets were made homeless waiting for benefits. More than 82,000 veterans were still waiting for housing payments for the fall semester as of November 8, with some having lost housing as the result of non-payment.?

Even with my total disdain for the term "its different this time"  I would have to point out the off the rail hatred that anti trump and the media whip up amongst their followers.  This seems to color, tint and blind any self interest or logic.  If I had to point a finger, i think thats it, but eventually the blind will see, just takes some patiance and time.

This guys has the greatest comments. No one is blind. The fact is that you are spreading propaganda and misleading facts. I have to say something.

Like I said, some are blinded but eventually, you will see, and maybe even laugh. >:D ;)

Another mirage!

Washington (CNN)Democrat Jared Golden defeated Republican Rep. Bruce Poliquin in Maine's 2nd District House race -- flipping the seat after the state calculated its ranked-choice voting results.

It's the first time in the nation's history a federal race has been decided by ranked-choice voting.

Golden won 50.5% to Poliquin's 49.5%, Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap told reporters Thursday afternoon. The flip means Democrats have picked up 33 House seats so far in 2018, with seven races still undecided. Democrats lead in five of those seven seats, all of which are Republican-held districts.

So far, the current balance of power in Washington come January will be 228 Democrats and 200 Republicans in the House.

I mean Larry Kudlow is already blaming the Dems for blocking a middle-class tax cut that was never proposed.

I hope that Dems push for infrastructure spending and repeal of the tax cuts on the rich and make the GOP Senate and Trump fight it.

I know this can be hard to understand for some out there but it really is quite simple and actually pretty funny.  This still is one of the best explanations as to why Trump won and continues to maintain solid support.  All these presumptions still stand today...

This is probably the funniest and truest article written about why Trump continues to prevail...

How Trump Has Managed to Defy Gravity

His supporters can?t plead ignorance. We pretty much knew what he was before we voted for him. Trump is not subtle: He made his living billboarding who he is and what he does on tall buildings, in glowing neon, uncaring of whether it delights or offends. He is the most obvious politician we?ve ever had.

They didn?t vote for him despite knowing he was a living hand grenade. They voted for him because of it ? so they could roll that explosive device under Washington?s gate. When Trump rends the fabric of the establishment?s universe, he is doing exactly what his supporters want him to do. Instead of being shocked, disappointed, or offended, his fans cling to him. They pray, ?Please God, help him do it again.?

1. Millions of Americans remain repulsed with the Washington status quo and find its return so perilous that they prefer the human embodiment of nitroglycerin in the White House, even with its attendant collateral damage, rather than taste again the malignant gruel Washington was serving them. They judge that the explosive ingredient in dynamite is safer than the stew of venomous elitism that fed the decline of their country. Trump?s steadfast support is an appraisal: It measures how America feels about Washington, D.C.

As I?ve noted before, Trump?s supporters elected an apex predator, a T-rex, to eat the smaller, slimier pillagers who were devouring them. These voters are not shocked when the T-rex acts like a T-rex and, on occasion, mates with an inappropriate object or, oops, possibly by mistake, eats grandma. Instead, they say, ?I loved grandma. And I?ll miss her ... but this is what we need to fight the Washington raptors, the bastards.?

2. Nothing has changed in Washington since Donald Trump was elected. The D.C. establishment and the creaky, old political parties and legacy media have not learned anything from the beating this outsider gave them. As long as they hold enormous power, Trump voters will continue to cheer the bull in Washington?s china shop, as he breaks the remaining tea cups in the establishment?s precious displays.

3. Until someone in Washington does change and provides an acceptable alternative, Trump can not only shoot someone on Fifth Avenue, he can get caught in the Kremlin on Vladimir Putin?s desk with a goat, and his supporters won?t care. They expect Trump will say, ?Fake news! Fake desk! Fake goat! Maybe a younger, hotter bovid, but not this one!? They are good with that.

2020 will be interesting...it will depend a lot on who comes out of the field for the Dems.

I doubt Biden runs.

Booker is too unknown.  Warren and Bernie are too liberal.

Harris maybe...wild cards like Beto.  Bloomberg would also be interesting.
