Does Apple purposely restrict supplies?

It's not like the 5S is a NEW form factor. Other than some internals (well, maybe all) and the fingerprint home button, the rest is the same right? Same external case, same front LCD... just different colors.

I'll just try at midnight and see what happens... I feel like such a schmuck... an iSchmuck.
 
ill be getting the 5S. i have the 4S and held off on the 5, i would hold off on the 5S as well, but im running out of space.
 
Actually, Facetime has been functional on and off for the last few weeks but not all the time and in all areas.. Not sure if it was something that AT&T was rolling out in phases.
 
Yeah... we are also on the old unlimited plans.

About a month ago we couldn't do Facetime over cellular, but in the last 2 weeks, we have been.

Have you tried it with iOS7?
 
I downloaded iOS7 but it won't install because it gets stuck in "Verifying update...." --> "Software Update not Available, try again later"  :'(  Too many Apple faboys overloading the server is my guess. Will have to try installing later tonight maybe.
 
Finally got it to download!!! Very happy with the cleaner look of the iOS. Still playing with the new features.

This happened to me too for the first 10 min after the d/l completed.  Luckily I was able to get past it.

The biggest plus for me is the Apple Radio alternative to Pandora... with unlimited skips.

I was about to try Apple Radio but my son just drained my battery after playing with all the new apps on my phone. I guess he loves iOS7 as well.
 
I like the radio... Got my dance hits, Kpop, Jpop, reggae, jazz, but no Cpop?  Gonna look for my one hit 90s station.. Reminds me of the Songza app
 
The 5s is available through the app. It is just that the "buy" button is not live. Bu it should be at midnite tonite.
 
From what I remember the last 2 years, they only let you ship the phone to the address that is on your wireless bill.

I wonder if they will let you ship it to another address, and if not, if you could somehow do a ship-to-store so you can go to an Apple store and avoid the lines.

Rumors are the gold and white may not be available on Day One.

From what I remember, the worst place to try to get an iPhone from is your wireless store or places like Best Buy.

Strange... just checking around online and I was able to order one for store pick-up at Best Buy for tomorrow.

We'll see what happens when I show up there tomorrow morning.

I read online you can do the same thing at Apple but they still make you wait in line to get one.

Looking at the Best Buy website and availability, it appears that the Silver (white) and Gold versions are sold out. Only Gray available for in-store pickup at multiple locations.
 
Decided against doing Apple online since the estimated delivery dates will be 10/7-10/10! I will take a chance and stand in line this morning. Maybe Walmart or cell phone store.

That's what I was afraid of to... long delivery time, although they tend to overestimate.

I just checked my order with Best Buy and unfortunately it's saying that I ordered a pre-order item so it may not be available in-store today... boo. I have to wait for another email which according to their quoted time, is 3 hours overdue.
