Junk fooding

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Unless I'm at Costco or a baseball game, the only hot dogs I'm eating are at home.  Nothing else tastes better.

I tried this from Carl's today. Saw it on a t.v. commercial last night and was on a mission. S'alright.

Who's is this?  And what have you done with SoCal? :)

Carl's is my favorite place. However, my pretzel buns are definitely better than Auntie Anne's. I'm glad I tried it once but probably wouldn't order it again.

SoCal do you know how to make Wetzel Bitz at home?  If so please share the recipe.  I want my wife to try to match them, those are my absolute favorite when they are fresh.

Sorry, Aquabliss, I just saw this!

I do have a recipe for pretzel bites. However, I've never eaten Wetzel Bitz so I can't say if it's similar or not. Does your wife work with yeast? Believe it or not, many people shy away from it because it can be intimidating. Some people won't even consider a recipe if it calls for yeast. I do work with yeast and that is what my pretzel recipe uses for leavening. However, truly, any alkalized dough recipe will do. After all, the alkaline solution is what makes a pretzel a pretzel. If your wife is o.k. with a yeast recipe, I'll try to get back here and send it to you as soon as I get time.

My wife slapped me when I asked her what she knows about yeast.

Anyhow, SoCal please go to Irvine Spectrum this weekend and get the Wetzel Bitz (regular, not Cinnamon), salted.

You can thank me later.

My very first job was at wetzels pretzels. I remember they had these "secret wetzel recipe" packets we would use to make the dough so who knows what was in those. Sorry, even as an "insider" can't help you out on the recipe. I agree with you...Wetzels pretzels is still my favorite pretzel place.

I came across a "almost famous pretzel"recipe posted on foodnetwork. Also, there are other recipes when you do a google search.

Yardhouse's Nashville Hot Chicken

Spicy, savory, honey, pickles, sweet potato pancakes, fried sage.  Lots of flavor combos, add some citrus flavor with this:

We rarely go to Yardhouse any more, had an old gift card so we finally used it at the Spectrum location recently.  Pleasantly surprised with this dish, our waitress suggested chicken + sage + pancakes + pickles + honey + ranch mouthful for the full experience, not bad.  There's also a $10 AMEX offer valid till 5/31

Ok, I did. Stopped by a Wetzel's when I was at the outlets in Lake Elsinore on Friday and had them give me the Aquabliss special.

Chic-Fil-A's frozen iced coffee is sinfully delicious. It's like a cross between a frappucino and a shake. Smoother than the first, lighter than the latter. It's supposed to be for a limited time only. I hope it becomes a permanent menu item.

Ronnie - the "ugly brown" fence is down over at BP. What was our bet again?

Hey I was willing to bet but your response was:

-------------------
Been thinking. Nothing I want from you
:) :) :) :)
-------------------

Also, only portions of the fence have gone from under the bridge, I think there's still a lot of fence left on both sides of Ridge Valley, right?  None the less, I have been seeing this thing evaporate over the last few weeks and was wondering when you would post this.
