Great Park Neighborhoods

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
I usually drive through gated Northpark to beat the lights.  I just look on Redfin for a sale property within the community and note the address, then tell the gate guard I'm meeting my agent at the property for a showing.  Works fine.

You must be joking. The risk of getting jammed up at the gate far exceeds the worst of the lights on Culver. Guards sometimes take breaks. Sometimes cars ahead of you take forever because owners can't be tracked down. Other times the lines can be rather long, especially at the Central Park gate. Assuming you aren't trolling, once you get to the gate, each seller provides different access instructions (outside of open houses, which are time and date-bound). In the case of the home we purchased, the seller wanted every pass through the gate vetted by their realtor. And that included visits from my wife, who is a licensed realtor - and we had an open escrow with a vacant house.

The other problem is there is no easy way to back out of the NP gate line without reversing ~1/4 mile to the main road (Portola/Culver/Viewpark), and that's assuming no one gets behind you.

If you know he's joking why the serious reply?

I've done that a few times.  Sometimes, depending on the guard, they will ask the agent to pick you up at the entrance.

Is it normal people leave their garbage cans in their front yard? Not talking about just trash pickup days but permanently. Looks super ghetto and notice everyone doing it. Strange because no other hood in irvine I've seen have peeps storing garbage cans in front yard except PP.

Pictures please.  Just tip it over and leave in their driveway.

I'm doing it right now only because I haven't done my landscaping yet and it's a pain to take them in and out of my side yard with uneven dirt, rocks, etc.

Once I get a concrete or paver path to my side yard, they'll be behind the gate.

oh.. you are talking about the front of the side gate?  I'm doing the same as Aquabliss right now for the same reasons.

PP.  Can't walk to anywhere.  Ridge Valley is a shortcut route for the entire PS village.  Sandwiched between TWO low income housing complexes.  4 story condos looking into your backyard.  Now garbage cans everywhere.
