Great Park Neighborhoods

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Can't wait for the grand opening... Should be fun for us model home freaks :)  and please please please, builders if your planning to have a food truck, hire someone efficient, I hate to wait 30 minutes for mediocre food from a newbie truck that can't handle the rush because the menu is too complicated.

Probably better that way. I find taymo's house buying process very muddled. We are on the list at Quinterra and have no clue what's going on. Their phase releases are very random and I'm still not clear how I actually buy a house through them.

Unless you're coming in with all cash, builders will generally ignore you nowadays.

I don't think you need to get a permit, maybe though. We faced the same decision, our place came as five bedroom but opted to make it a loft instead. The second living space is nice upstairs. At first I told my wife the same thing u said - get the fifth bedroom and use it how u want. By with the loft it his feels much more open when u reach the top of the stairs. Also, where the closet would go they left a little metal plate that covers the electrical wires

My wife convinced me we need to use the space how it best suits us and not worry about resale. When the time comes to resell it we can easily convert it to a fifth bedroom.

A 5 bedroom house just for 1 couple?? When are you gonna fill it up with kids???

So far I discovered several of my neighbors are single, living solo in a 3 bedroom in CV.  Then I have married friends who do not plan on kids buying a new 5 bedroom in the GP.

Couples living in 5 bedrooms.

Singles living in 3 bedrooms.

Seems like the trend in Irvine nowadays.

I think it's just more room for their 'stuff' at the moment, and then in the future whenever they get married and have kids, they'll make room or upgrade.  In the meantime, more stuff accumulates.

I don't know. Ask this guy:http://www.talkirvine.com/index.php/topic,3264.msg58495.html#msg58495

Football season is almost here! The dogs better find a place quick.

Here are a few pics of the streets of Pavilion Park from last night. I gotta say, it looks very nice. There are a good amount of trees lining the streets, of various varieties and various maturity. Quite a few mature trees.

That does look very nice.  I have to say that mature trees make a huge difference in the neighborhood.

I can't wait to see those 60" box oaks and 72" box pines that are waiting along Irvine Blvd finally get planted.

Are they planting the mature trees just in the model home area/cluster?  Or are they doing that throughout the neighborhood?

There's a mix of mature and less mature trees throughout the neighborhood. Pavilion Park in the center of the community has a good number, but so do the streets, especially at intersections.

IMO, these Great Park homes have better architectural design than any of the Irvine Pacific homes.
It's the Cape Cod / American Heritage look... one of my favorites, which is why I like Woodbridge.

More wood and brick... less stucco.
