Your endurance amazes me every day, Homer!

I'll be walking a lot today...

... because I'm baking "Knock-You-Naked Brownies":o

I hear they actually knock your clothes off. It will be my first time making this "winning" dessert, as IHO would call it.

Funny thing- been on and off diet, either controlling big time or giving up to the sweet tooth, haven't gone to the gym, stopped the walks these days, but the weight hasn't changed. 05 here and there, basically I have flat lined, just like my teenage years. Find it very amusing :-) Body fat hasn't changed also. Hope I find some motivation to work out soon..

Detour- next trip to Costco. I won't buy Larabars.

Checking in:

Breakfast - 3 Turkey Bacon Strips, 5 egg whites and 1/2 cup of strawberries

Snack - Protein Bar

Lunch - 8oz Chicken Breast and 1/2 cup of veggies and brown rice

Snack - 1 Peach

Dinner - Baked Ground Turkey balls (crusted with whole wheat bread crumbs) and lots of steamed veggies.

Dessert - Might be third night in a row the wife wants Yogurtland  :D

Regarding bundt cakes - the September flavor of the month was white chocolate blueberry which was very good. Yesterday I swung by and bought a pumpkin spice bundlet which is the october flavor of the month and will likely be the November flavor as well with thanksgiving and all. The pumpkin spice was really good

White Chocolate/Blueberry was awesome! (The serving size is 1/8th BTW, if anyone is paying attention)
Pumpkin spice sounds tempting.. bought pumpkin butter and bread mix from TJ's over the weekend, and waiting for it to cool down a bit so that I can start baking. Last year SoCal and I made Pumpkin Spice Lattes with our slow cookers- the recipe was 5/5 on taste and ease. Perhaps I should ask her to dig it up and post it in preparation for fall.

Fall is my favorite season.

Homer, progress report?
SoCal, what did you bake today?

CZ, I've hit my goal with the BMI, the BF% is in the 11's now.  My body has plateaued so I'm going to up my calories a little and cut the FAT a little.

How everyone's progress?

Nice! My progress is undefined at the moment. The mission was to save the wardrobe, but I have lost almost all of it, for good reasons.
No luck on fitting into the wedding wear- at this point it seems like mission impossible. Work/ kids/ stress of a thousand other things drive the sugar cravings, I haven't stepped in the gym since August last week, have stopped the daily walks this week, but the carbs are under control. Two more months.. lets see. Might have to kick it up a notch, or hire a trainer to get me back on track.

I fell off the wagon... and it ran me over.  ??? I'm just being honest.

My true feelings are that it's too difficult to make health a priority in a relationship where one person is trying and the other isn't. I know it's certainly possible, but it is more difficult. There are no hard feelings or anything like that towards him. I am just disappointed in myself that I'm not better at juggling everything or not letting his ways influence me, if that makes any sense. I realize for example, nobody is holding a gun to my head, forcing me to bake lemon cookies. I just want to be a good wife because that is reeeeaaallly important to me and cookies are what makes him happy. If he was equally happy with carrot sticks and fat-free dip, I'd make that for him instead. He's not. Then, I'm in a difficult situation.

I've never dated anyone except Mr. SoCal but I've heard from others that this is quite common...? I know my sister-in-law dated a HUGE guy in the past. His favorite thing to do was eat out... and eat out they did! She gained over 100 lbs. when she was with him!  :o I'm certainly not in that detrimental of a situation, though.

Yes, it's hard. I am the one who ruins it in our house. Either I am completely into the health mode, feeding everyone cardboards, or we are at a bakery picking one of each kind:S

Aren't you worried about Mr.Socal's health? Or Italian guys can handle all that kind of food? I know Indians and Africans have issues with cholesterol and BP.

Socal - my wife eats pretty healthy, i have no interest in eating healthy - so our situations are similar, except she doesnt cook me my favorite meals and have them ready when i get home  :(

My dad lived till 78 eating red meat, so that is my template.  I havent been able to drag her to the dark side though, she is pretty disciplined about eating good.

Dads generation got a lot of exercise also, compared to us. Don't you think so?
