Brightwater Huntington Beach reduced 300k?

If you Google "Brightwater Huntington Beach" IHB comes up as the Number 6 link.

Here's Number 5 Link: Ancient Remains Found at Brightwater Huntington Beach

This was discussed earlier in the thread:

February 27, 2008: Looks like the homes at brightwater are sitting on top of an ancient burial ground and the developer is trying to cover it up…..check out this article from the OC register Will Huntington Beach homes sit on ancient burial ground? 174 American Indian bone fragments were uncovered on the Brightwater Hearthside Homes site, which is slated to become a residential community.

Uh oh Cal Gal . . . you may have just summoned the ghost of the fake Native American chick.

Seriously, if that person was my employee, they wouldn't have had time to pack up their belongings. I would just send them back via UPS. Even if that person was of Native American descent, the name indicated a tribe found in . . . . Oklahoma.

I'm bored - hubby is monopolizing the TV watching the March Madness games. It's OK if I summoned the ghost of the fake Native American chick. It will give me something to do tonight.

Graph Rocks. Don't get on his bad side.

Hehehehehe... and the best part is I am not done yet.

I would post all the nice high-end HB homes scheduled for the foreclosure auction, but damn that list is long...

graphrix,

You have described what you are about to do this weekend... Be careful. Financially distressed people can do crazy things. Do not turn your back on any of the sales people there. If necessary, and if you need a plan B, consider parking at the liquor store or KFC rather than the sales lot.

Dude, you just announced you will be there this weekend to take pictures, make sure you wear a wig or they are waiting for you. Hahahahahah

Bring some bodyguards.

What with name calling on this board? No more liar liar pants on fire name calling.

What is wrong with KFC? I like KFC. It is overpriced, but I think just about everything is overpriced, except for Frightwater.

Bring some bodyguards.

I will do that. They will be female and they will be hot. Ut roh... am I giving away too much? Blah, I don't give a crap, I might even wear my IHB shirt.

Graphix, thanks for proving my point with the excellent pictures. As you all can see, the KFC and the liquor store are not located at the corner of the community. In fact, it's quite a stroll to get there. Unfortunately, in this world, you have to pass some undesirable places to get to where you want to be. Not every community is master planned like Irvine where there is a Starbucks every few blocks. Some may say this is the charm of living in Huntington Beach while others dislike it such as yourself. I don't work for Brightwater, but if I did you would be making an excellent case to buy there. Seems like you have a problem with the tiling, cabinets, fung shui, and now apparently with their choice of interior designer. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the last time I checked, a person buying a home was allowed to choose their interior decorations. Also, last I checked, a person buying a home was allowed a final inspection on a home to fix any issues they had with a home such as tiling and misaligned handles on cabinets. If I were purchasing a model home at Brightwater, I sure would be upset about these things, but I'm not. Please save yourself the trip. I wouldn't want you breathing in that ocean air and becoming nauseous again. I wouldn't want to make you color coordinate the kitchen flooring with that bathroom "vomit" flooring. Seriously, I believe you..I really do...Eval, I'm not sure why you all think I'm upset. The sad thing is this thread has been more amusing than informative. At least in other threads, there are updates on phase prices and incentives.

Wow... now I have to give graphrix a lesson on constructions quality ,too! So, Shea and Laing build quality?? Who do you think actually builds these homes? They call them trade partners or subcontractors. Laing, Shea, StanPac, Lennar, Hearthside... they all pull from the same group of subcontactors. Those "crappy" cabinets (Southcoast Cabinets) are in every Shea, Laing and Stanpac house out there, and they are damn nice cabinets. Same framer(TWR), same concrete, and yes, same tile company. You sound like a moron when you praise Shea and Laing and then bash Hearthside... its the same people building the houses! The difference comes in the spec level of the home. Take a Shea brochure like Birch River in Aliso and compare the included amenities list to the Cliffs and Breakers. Shea's not even close. Heck, take the Tides in Newport ( 7 milloin) and it's pretty darn close, they even have the dreaded Kohler plumbing fixtures. Yes, Kohler in a 7 million dollar home!

Clearly you are also a master of Feng Shui. Maybe you should call up Basinian Lagoni Architechts and give them a few pointers. I don't think they have ever studied the subject.

I don't think anyone minds if you don't like Hearthside, the homes, the area, just write something that makes sense. Oh, by the way, try wiping a little better and maybe that

"stench" you keep smelling will go away.

Say what you will about construction quality, smell, etc. The reason I will now avoid Brightwater like the plague is that the development seems to be contaminated with bitter water. A house is a stucco box, but the neighbors make it a community. These are not people I would want as my neighbors, thanks.

Why is it undesirable to have a KFC nearby? Or, a liquor store? As long as their lights are not blasting your backdoor, nor drunks strolling by, what's the big deal? I like having useful businesses nearby, and don't like it that I can't walk to get a loaf of bread where I am.

Sorry, but the only one here that is ignorant is oldsalt46. Here, let me help you, try the search button...

See, if you did, then you would know I have quite a bit of knowledge about homebuilders and construction. You do know that not every builder uses the same subcontractors. It is a bidding process. Sure, some of the same subs are used for different builders, but when they bid too high or do crappy work, then they don't get the bid and another sub will be used. For example, Aliso Air does a majority of the work for the heating and air systems. I know that they did the heating/air at Riverbend and at Paloma. However, at Paloma they didn't use the same tile sub as Hearthside, because the work was clean and very nice. A few settling cracks here and there, but not the gapping holes that will cause mold damage like at Brightwater. StanPac might have used the same tile sub, because the tile work at Mille Fleurs was just as bad as Brightwater. Now, I am charging the battery for my camera, and I will go take pictures of one of Laing's projects and the tile work, then this weekend I will take pictures of the crap at Brightwater. I will also get shots of the quality of the cabinets, and I will post them here for everyone to see. Then, we will all be able to tell who the ignorant one is. A picture can say a thousand words.

As for Feng Shui, I am no expert, but again if you used the search button, you might have found this thread by bkshopr. He gives you a basic idea of what is bad Feng Shui is with the bedroom being underneath the kitchen. And, here is his comment about the front and back door. My camera also has video, so I can film the back and/or front door slamming for everyone to see too. I am familiar with Bassenian and Lagoni, while they have won awards for their designs, they are also well know for not being up to par on Feng Shui. We need bkshopr in this thread to give his opinion on the awful Feng Shui of Brightwater.

BTW, spell check is your friend, use it.

A house is a stucco box, but the neighbors make it a community. These are not people I would want as my neighbors, thanks.

No kidding. Too bad they don't get it, and don't realize the more they come off as a-holes, the more and more people see that. Gotta love having this thread at the top of a google search. It helps that I keep mentioning Brightwater and how crappy a high-end project like Brightwater is, because google likes key words like Brightwater in Huntington Beach. You could have just let it go, but oh... no... you had to keep coming back and pushing my buttons. I don't like to lose, and I will go out of my way to prove that I am right on this. No one calls me a liar. This is going to be fun. Hey, did you notice, not once has any other builder come here to defend their community like this? Now we know why.

I hope you Brightwater employees called the tile guy to come fix those huge cracks, because I have pics of a Laing project that has hardly any cracks. Oh, and it is community that costs a lot less.

See you this weekend! I will be the one in the tinfoil hat and camera in hand.
