Baker Ranch in Lake Forest / Foothill Ranch

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Kobe and Seafood are just words that make the buffet sound high end. what will be the pricing like?
I won't be surprised that most of the meat items will be chicken and seafood is consist of imitation crabs and Tilapia.

I tried to look for a website for them. All I could find was similar sounding names of restaurants in other cities but I'm unsure if it's actually a chain or what. Other Kobe Buffets, according to the Google image search, seem to have large, colorful arrays of sushi rolls, sashimi, crab legs, random fried food, and some have hibachi. I guess we won't know for sure until they open since I can't find an online menu. I'm up for trying it once before deciding.

Not BR, but toured the Camden Square models in Foothill Ranch, over by the MBZ auto dealership this afternoon. 5 floorplans, 3 model homes (Plans 1, 2, and 5). Largest home, a 2,285 SF Detached Condo, May/June Delivery has a sticker price of $800,120. Aye Caramba! Could not believe what is being thought of as a value out there.  Anyone else go through the homes? Didn't see a thread yet.

Wow they are now adding the California Room sq footage to their total home sq footage.  Tricky.

I wonder how many resellers will try to include this in the listing.

Price list for The Peake Phase 1 by Shea homes.
These are similar models to Knolls and noticed price increase for new community.

Right now @ Foothill Ranch Towne Centre:

Lights -- finally. It took forever. Not sure on the opening date yet.

So, this joint FINALLY opened last night.

The first reviews are coming in. So far, I'm hearing that it's Asian-themed,  has lots of seafood. They have a chef cook-to-order steak section which is interesting. A little bit on the high end but the selection matches the price. It's more like a Vegas resort buffet than the kind of buffets you see advertised on T.V.

I am interested in trying it soon. Mr. SoCal took some pics for me this morning, after their debut:

says kobe is $150/pound. so you cant have a kobe buffet unless you are charging $500-$600 per person.

kobe bryant's meat....  hmmmm...  damn all your clipper fan...

based on yelp, it seems this restaurant was azusa and it was only ranked 3 stars..  can someone post more info or maybe we should start a new thread in food-dining.

I would not go to a place that's 3 stars on yelp.

Stopped by The Heights again this afternoon, looks like they only have 3 lots left (one is reserved / contingent), then the models.

It's funny how you can look at some user names in the Recent Posts column of the homepage and automatically know what their comment will be prior to reading it. Predictable.
