NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Usually people with nothing to hide don't find it necessary to change their story multiple times. Normally,  people who are not suspected of criminal activity, don't have their home raised by the FBI.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Michael Flynn and other advisers to Donald Trump?s campaign were in contact with Russian officials and others with Kremlin ties in at least 18 calls and emails during the last seven months of the 2016 presidential race, current and former U.S. officials familiar with the exchanges told Reuters.

The previously undisclosed interactions form part of the record now being reviewed by FBI and congressional investigators probing Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election and contacts between Trump?s campaign and Russia.

Six of the previously undisclosed contacts described to Reuters were phone calls between Sergei Kislyak, Russia's ambassador to the United States, and Trump advisers, including Flynn, Trump?s first national security adviser, three current and former officials said.

Conversations between Flynn and Kislyak accelerated after the Nov. 8 vote as the two discussed establishing a back channel for communication between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin that could bypass the U.S. national security bureaucracy, which both sides considered hostile to improved relations, four current U.S. officials said.

In January, the Trump White House initially denied any contacts with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign. The White House and advisers to the campaign have since confirmed four meetings between Kislyak and Trump advisers during that time.

The people who described the contacts to Reuters said they had seen no evidence of wrongdoing or collusion between the campaign and Russia in the communications reviewed so far. But the disclosure could increase the pressure on Trump and his aides to provide the FBI and Congress with a full account of interactions with Russian officials and others with links to the Kremlin during and immediately after the 2016 election.

The 18 calls and electronic messages took place between April and November 2016 as hackers engaged in what U.S. intelligence concluded in January was part of a Kremlin campaign to discredit the vote and influence the outcome of the election in favor of Trump over his Democratic challenger, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

Those discussions focused on mending U.S.-Russian economic relations strained by sanctions imposed on Moscow, cooperating in fighting Islamic State in Syria and containing a more assertive China, the sources said.

This turd needs to just focus on the economy and top stop being an idiot on social issues.

yeah, seriously?! What the hell happened to tax reform? Most of America's Elite voted for him simply for that reason. The problem is that he can't get to his agenda because of all these other distractions (much of what he creates for himself). At least the markets are working for us...

Looks like we are headed pre 1960s. It's really unfortunate.

The turd promised to deport Mexicans and ban Muslims. Did people really expect this would result in peace and harmony? But as long as the stock market is up and my home value hasn't dropped, all is good.

The thing is the left decided identity politics was the strategy they wanted to follow.  They never thought a Republican would successfully wield their own tactics against them.  If Democrats had not used identity politics and, instead, actually focused on the economy like most Americans wanted, Trump would never have been elected.  Bernie had the correct strategy by focusing on policies that would benefit everybody, black or white, or any other identity.  (I don't agree with his socialism, but he had the right strategy.)  But when leading Democrats tell 70% of Americans (white people), how bad they are and to shut up due to their privilege, of course it's going to drive a wedge and cause them to gravitate to a message like Trump's.

Winning in politics is about expanding the tent, not driving people out.  Trump successfully expanded the tent by attracting whites that previously voted for Obama, and Hillary shrank the tent by focusing on identity and making blue collar whites feel unwelcome (Deplorables anybody?).

Additionally it is wrong tho think that the majority of Americans care for even a fleeting second about a statue of a guy who died 130 years before most of them were born.  As much as the left want us to all care deeply about this issue the fact is...most don't.  Most are concerned with putting food on the table, what the Dodgers score is or what time do the kids need to get to soccer practice.  For the 200 people who showed up to Charlotte there are 250 million who could care less.  This has driven the left crazy why the markets are ignoring all this "turmoil and chaos"  The markets know the relative importance and it's telling you so.

I have to disagree here.  We live in Cali so it doesn't affect us much.. but statues of anything from the confederation shouldn't be up like that.

You cannot erase history.  You can learn from its failures and promote its success but you can't change it...where does this end?

I would echo MoreKaos and say I don't strongly care either, but from a purely historical perspective I don't like it.  Where do you draw the line?  The Civil War happened and these statues were erected by the sons and daughters of those that died.  Honoring the past doesn't mean you agree with the ideals of that time.

Should we tear down the Spanish missions in California since slave labor was used to construct them?  Are they not reminders of colonialism, genocide, and slavery?  What about all the statues and streets named after Spanish padres?  Should we tear them down and rename everything?  Of course not, because we recognize that it's history and it's better to acknowledge history (good or bad) than to pretend it never happened.  Like it or not, it's part of our heritage.

well I guess a few nazi flags hanging around Germany would be okay.

Can't erase the past!

False equivalency.  Nazism is a political ideology that happened in the lifetimes of some of those still living = not history.

Looking at history, why is it that the aggressor always loses in the end?  The answer is simple, because history is written by the winners. History is the privilege of the winners who will always record for posterity that theirs was a just cause and the losers deserved to lose because their cause was unjust.

Let't take a different tack.  Instead of condemning our past for our participation in slavery.  (80% of the founding fathers owned slaves including Washington, Jackson and others.) Most of the world at that time and before were slave owners and traders; native american Indians, Western Europeans, the Greeks, Asians, Aztecs, Egyptians ...everyone!  This country should not be condemned for our participation...we should be celebrated as the only country that ENDED it.  We even had a civil war over it and lost 500,000 out our citizens to end the worldwide practice.  We led the way out.  That is something to be proud of.

Stop spreading lies and hate.  You are showing dishonesty.  You are intelligent enough to know he was talking about illegal immigrants.

When he made his announcement to run for president, he said nothing about illegal Irish or Chinese being rapists, bringing crime and drugs.

When the news starts sharing stories about Australians or Indians getting deported, I will know what he is an equal opportunity reporter.
