When given a massive softball opportunity to condemn the bomb threats, Trump refused. Then he tripled down on the hateful rhetoric. This is by design and what he does. Now an American city is suffering, and he likes it. Trump is a sociopath.

Absolutely shameful.

Wesley's son, Oran Routh, said this was the first he'd heard of the alleged assassination attempt.
'This was the first I heard about it,' 'Was my father shot or injured?'

And someone was saying that he's voting for Trump because he thinks that Trump prioritizes family and kids. And that the Democrats are getting worse. What a joke.

I said that, and I still stand by it. The whole "eat the pets" thing isn't new. This same storyline cropped up in the 1980s when many immigrants from Vietnam were coming to the USA. It's probably not worthy of national headlines, but it probably happens in small pockets. These people are in our country and have no clue what the customs/cultures are, and who knows what they're doing at home.

More importantly, Springfield is a community that is clearly overburdened by the influx of legal and illegal immigrants. The current administration has largely ignored Springfield and won't even acknowledge that there's an issue. There are plenty of videos on YouTube from unbiased content creators who go around town and look at the current state of Springfield. It's pretty sad. This week, the Ohio government committed $2.5m to help Springfield along with other resources. I'm sure city officials are loving the attention brought by JD Vance right now as they're finally starting to get some help that they sorely need.

So, I think the real joke is that people can't take off their anti-Trump blinders and see what's really going on around the nation. At least Springfield is starting to get some help. The Mayor wants federal aid, too, but I'm guessing Biden/Harris will continue to ignore it.

First part of this is why people think MAGA is code for racism.

There are many towns worse than Springfield with problems that are caused by non-immigrants.

The real joke is thinking any president can solve every problem.

I guess some presidents have access to magic that builds walls, prevents inflation and locates and turns off the giant faucet.
 
Be real here. If 78,000 non US Citizens flooded Irvine within a 24 month window, every political party member across the spectrum (besides Democratic Socialists - the very hard left) would be up in arms. The problem isn't the reaction - as bad as it might be - but the cause.

Yes, it is true that many cities, even States like California, are being run down by its native population. One could reasonably argue that foreign cocaine , heroin, meth, and fentanyl shipments are a big cause of native born Americans ruining their cities. It's also true that these areas are either a Democrat Uniparty (Cali, D.C.) or run by Democrats (Chicago, Baltimore, Portland, Seattle) Why then would anyone actively promote these folks to have more power? Weird...

I’m a true-blue Democrat — but I’ve joined the GOP and back Donald Trump

I walked away from the Democratic Party and joined the Republicans.

I will vote for Donald Trump for president.

I’ve been a true-blue Democrat, a former California state senator who chaired its Senate Democratic Caucus and served as Senate Majority Leader.

I was a Democratic National Convention delegate for Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama, and state co-chair for President Obama’s re-election.

But I’ve said goodbye, adios, I’ve had enough.

This is not the Democratic Party I once championed. I don’t recognize it anymore.

The so-called “party of democracy” eradicated 14 million votes, including mine, to install Vice President Kamala Harris as its nominee.
