This is what I think people don't get.  Trump is not an idealist. He uses all these things to bludgeon out a deal.  DACA wasn't a bargaining chip till he cancelled it. Now, he can negotiate something for it.  Paris agreement, Iran agreement, The wall...all these things are negotiable, but for better terms or they are totally cancelled.  It's his management style.  Goad the other side or even your own side publicly (Sessions or the GOP) until they do what you want.

Yes, this is an excellent explanation.  It also applies to the N. Korea standoff.  First China was our best friend, now they aren't doing enough to keep Kim in check.

...and now jina is on the good side again...

We're about to go to war. NK has threatened to shoot down any U.S. plane even not in the territory waters and airspace of NK.

War will be imminent!

North Korea will not go into any war it cannot win.  Their number one goal is preservation.  NK will continually be used for media manipulation.

I agree that these players should be standing to attention during the Anthem or they should stay in their locker rooms off camera.  It angers me that the NFL condones their protests during the anthem.  It's pretty much a Kanye West/Taylor Swift moment.  The NFL should opt not to play the national anthem if it's going to come down to this.

That said...

I may have political differences with friends and family.  I may disagree with them.  I may think they are doing something stupid.  When someone calls my friends, family, brothers, sisters... a "son of a bitch", though, I'm going to get upset.  I'm going to stick up for them and side with them.

Trump should not have called those players "sons of bitches".  Of course the NFL is going to side with them.  Whether or not they agree with the protest, those players are still their friends and family.  They don't want to fire their friends.  You insult their friends, they are going to come at you.

Presidents should not be throwing insults at their citizens.  That isn't good for the country.  Yes, Obama did it too.  While he was more elegant with his insults, I did also take offense at some of his remarks and disliked him for it.

Trump Defeats ISIS In Months ? After Years Of Excuses From Obama

Before dismissing this as typical Trump self-aggrandizement, consider that for several years Obama insisted that a quick and decisive victory against ISIS was all but impossible.

Contrast this with Trump. Rather than talk endlessly about how long and hard the fight would be, Trump said during his campaign that, if elected, he would convene his "top generals and give them a simple instruction. They will have 30 days to submit to the Oval Office a plan for soundly and quickly defeating ISIS."

Once in office, Trump made several changes in the way the war was fought, the most important of which were to loosen the rules of engagement and give more decision-making authority to battlefield commanders.

The result of this shift seems pretty obvious. In July, ISIS was booted from Mosul, and this week Raqqa was liberated. For all intents and purposes, ISIS has been defeated. Trump did in nine months what Obama couldn't in the previous three years.

Trump's critics will insist that victory was inevitable, given that Obama had severely degraded ISIS over the previous years, and that all Trump did was continue Obama's strategy.

But the bottom line is that while Obama preached patience, Trump promised a swift end to ISIS, and then delivered on it.

WTF is this? Ahh must be FAKE NEWS. With my lips double twisted. Alec Baldwin does a perfect impression of this morron.

How did Trump defeat an ideology?  He must have magical powers. I have no doubt ISIS is gone out of Raqqa considering how heavily the civilian population was bombed. Now how do we defeat the enemy in Africa? Wondering how soon the draft is going to be reinstated since he just signed an executive order calling military pilots out of retirement.

They let the "local" fighters and their families leave Raqqa but denied safe passage to the foreign Isis fighters.

Not sure how letting a bunch of fighters leave safely solves the problem long term over there.

Correction, meant Not condoning any actions but it does make sense.  By not doing an annihilation you give the fighters an out, thus you encourage them and the remaining fighters in other cities and areas to give up and go home.  By denying the foreign fighters an out, you prevent the problem from leaving the local area and pit gang against itself.

Saudi Prince Alwaleed: Trump's policies have led to a $5 trillion boost in the US stock market

President Trump is correct in saying $5.3 trillion in U.S. stock market value has been created under his watch, the Saudi prince tells CNBC.
Alwaleed says the investments in his holding company, Kingdom Holding, have gone up "several billion dollars" since Trump was elected.

"Clearly, this [stock wealth] was created because of health care will be finalized and the tax reforms more importantly will be finalized also. There are a lot of good policies by Trump," the prince said in an exclusive interview on "Squawk Box" from the company's headquarters in Riyadh.

"My company, Kingdom Holding, would benefit a lot from Trump's policies," he added, but warned the U.S. needs to keep an eye on budget deficits."

Alwaleed said people should accept Trump's style of making policy pronouncements on Twitter.

"President Trump has his own way of governing," Alwaleed said.

The prince also welcomed Trump's straight talk.

"When he said that Puerto Rico is bankrupt and Puerto Rico will never pay its debt, he's right. He is not wrong in this. But we're used to presidents being diplomatic and very politically correct," the prince said. "It's just like Greece. It's never going to pay its debt."

"When he says you should stand for the national anthem, he's right on this," Alwaleed said. "You have to respect your national anthem."

"He says America first. He is saying something [is] wrong. You expect him to say America is No. 2?" the prince said. "I hope he's successful in his presidency."

Always the optimist. It sounds like the wealth was created based on a fairy tale, says the prince.

"Clearly, this [stock wealth] was created because of health care will be finalized and the tax reforms more importantly will be finalized also. There are a lot of good policies by Trump,"
