Just rough calculations, I drive local 30 minutes round trip daily to work. Spend about $100 in gas/month,minus roughly $50 with the hybrid. Difference between hybrid and non hybrid is about $1500-1800. But that's assuming hybrid haggle pricing, haven't tested non-hybrid haggle pricing, maybe I'll hit more near the 75-80% of MSRP range. That will extend the break even out to 4-5 years. So hybrid is not prime time?
