Midterm Elections

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
The jokes just write themselves ? space force and  now Religious Liberty Task Force ?  How about a showdown between the two - and trump could make money off pay per view too.

The  idea of a Religious Liberty Task Force, while humorous, was entirely the result of the Liberals' publicity stunts.

If a bakery wouldn't sell you a gay cake and instead of suing the bakery and sending out press releases you simply went to another bakery, would there be a Religious Liberty Task Force?

If your Catholic employer will not pay for your abortion, instead suing your employer and sending out press releases you simply went to a free abortion provider, would there be a Religious Liberty Task Force?

Sometimes publicity stunts backfire.

I have to ask you this: Is collision a crime?  ;)

Wrong name ? should be ?evangelical beliefs down your throat ? task force  :)

On collusion , this is what is happening now since the goalpost s have been moved out of the field

Let?s say Trump drowns a puppy, pulls it out of the water at the last moment

Trump: "Not even Lincoln saved a puppy."

Liberals/Media: "You tried to drown it."

Hannity: "The fake news media won't even let Trump save a puppy without attacking him."

MAGA: "Why do liberals hate puppies?"

If I went into a Halal food store and they refuse my request to make me a bacon, ham, and chorizo pot pie, will the Liberals file a lawsuit against said food store on my behalf?

Or does freedom of religion only apply to non-Christians?

This is probably the funniest and truest article written about why Trump continues to prevail...

How Trump Has Managed to Defy Gravity

His supporters can?t plead ignorance. We pretty much knew what he was before we voted for him. Trump is not subtle: He made his living billboarding who he is and what he does on tall buildings, in glowing neon, uncaring of whether it delights or offends. He is the most obvious politician we?ve ever had.

They didn?t vote for him despite knowing he was a living hand grenade. They voted for him because of it ? so they could roll that explosive device under Washington?s gate. When Trump rends the fabric of the establishment?s universe, he is doing exactly what his supporters want him to do. Instead of being shocked, disappointed, or offended, his fans cling to him. They pray, ?Please God, help him do it again.?

1. Millions of Americans remain repulsed with the Washington status quo and find its return so perilous that they prefer the human embodiment of nitroglycerin in the White House, even with its attendant collateral damage, rather than taste again the malignant gruel Washington was serving them. They judge that the explosive ingredient in dynamite is safer than the stew of venomous elitism that fed the decline of their country. Trump?s steadfast support is an appraisal: It measures how America feels about Washington, D.C.

As I?ve noted before, Trump?s supporters elected an apex predator, a T-rex, to eat the smaller, slimier pillagers who were devouring them. These voters are not shocked when the T-rex acts like a T-rex and, on occasion, mates with an inappropriate object or, oops, possibly by mistake, eats grandma. Instead, they say, ?I loved grandma. And I?ll miss her ... but this is what we need to fight the Washington raptors, the bastards.?

2. Nothing has changed in Washington since Donald Trump was elected. The D.C. establishment and the creaky, old political parties and legacy media have not learned anything from the beating this outsider gave them. As long as they hold enormous power, Trump voters will continue to cheer the bull in Washington?s china shop, as he breaks the remaining tea cups in the establishment?s precious displays.

3. Until someone in Washington does change and provides an acceptable alternative, Trump can not only shoot someone on Fifth Avenue, he can get caught in the Kremlin on Vladimir Putin?s desk with a goat, and his supporters won?t care. They expect Trump will say, ?Fake news! Fake desk! Fake goat! Maybe a younger, hotter bovid, but not this one!? They are good with that.

You should start your post with: No collision, no collision
Then end your post with: collision is not a crime

An understanding of Trump voters is important to this threads topic.  It leads to this...

The media once again peddle Panglossian midterm predictions.

The blue wave is back! Having lost sight of that storied surge this spring, when Democratic prospects appeared to be ebbing, Beltway soothsayers have again spied a cerulean tsunami on the horizon. A sudden spate of ?news? stories predict that the wrath of the resistance will wash away the Republican stain from the Speaker?s Chair in the House, and may even swamp the GOP?s Senate majority. CNN, for example, reports, ?Every sign is pointing to a Democratic wave in November.? Unfortunately for the left, this wet dream is based on the claims of discredited forecasters, mercenary pollsters, and roundheel pundits.

Mark Penn, chairman of the Harris Poll and former pollster to President Clinton from 1995 to 2000, provides a description of the polling business that few pollsters or media types will find flattering. In a recent column for the Hill, he indicted the ?pundit-polling-news establishment? for studiously ignoring the blindingly obvious lessons of 2016. In his estimation, the major polling firms and news organizations to whom they purport to provide objective data have made no meaningful changes in the methodology that led them to miss the seismic shift in voter attitudes that led to President Trump?s 2016 victory.

...And what of the fabled FiveThirtyEight? As the Wrap succinctly put it, ?Nate Silver Blew It Bigly.?

No, I blame an over reliance on a false premise.  Garbage in garbage out when dealing with data.  In this case the public, guided by pundits, are being led down a path that is based on a false premise, or an erroneous one at best. W hated the media, he just never said it in public.

You could have used ?kosher ? there but you chose to use a Muslim example , intentional probably

Anyways if they don?t stock ham / bacon on hand to begin with , how will they sell it ?

Are you the type of guy who goes to Albertsons and asks them to sell you a live chicken  ?

Do MAGA ites know what ?Panglossian ? means ?

I will give you time to look it up since you probably copied and pasted it in a hurry :)

This is another quote by Bush in the same article. Which he comments about that the power of a president is powerful and that?s it is important for the media to hold the president accountable.

"That we need the media to hold people like me to account. I mean, power can be very addictive and it can be corrosive and it's important for the media to call to account people who abuse their power, whether it be here or elsewhere.?

Too funny - You're complaining about a false premise, immediately after posting an article presenting a false premise. Good job. That article complains about the "media" and its "sudden spate of news stories about a blue wave in November." Who is the "media" doing this? Fox News? Infowars? Breitbart? The article presents one CNN example to establish the premise.

Thanks for the chuckle...

Of all these media articles ?- I've yet to see an op-ed piece suggesting that racist Trump supporters should "reach out" to liberals and "find common ground" - it's always the reverse. Just the way minorities are always expected to politely explain their need for equality to bigots waving confederate flags

Another thing that makes polls unreliable these days is no one knows when the next Wikileaks document dump will occur and what bombshell it may contain.

The funniest thing from the last Wikileaks revelation is that the DNC consipred to get Trump the Republican nominatinon. That is a joke that just writes itself.
