Laguna Altura feng shui

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Looking for new construction. I'll definitely check out Lambert Ranch, but I think that OH might offer what I'm looking for, assuming of course that there are other builders besides IPH.

After seeing the poor community layout and recycled designs of LA, I wouldn't hold your breadth for OH. Wash, rinse, and repeat... >:(

Considering how poorly the 2011 Collection is selling... I would say that OH is going back to the drawing board... that's one thing about TIC... they will adjust once the squeaky wheel is loud enough.

One of my friend's mom is a Chinese feng shui expert, where rich clients pay her at least 1k USD for a visit of site back in China. She happens to be in town and we took her to the LA site. And...

She said the feng shui is not good. similar things like the original post said.

any specifics except you are in a wok?

1. You are in a Wok. Wok shape is good feng shui for selecting tomb site, but not much for the living ones.
2. The opening of the wok is to the west, which is not a good direction. South or east will be better.
3. The freeway on the east side ? it may make it hard to get fortune.
4. Houses are too close to each other. You see the corners of neighbors' house pointing to your windows.
5. For homes on the hill side of the street in LA, underground power  line and water meter concrete cover seat too close to the front of the house.
As you all know, feng shui is not really science, just for fun. She said rich people in Hong Kong are very careful with feng shui.
She likes Stonegate site better.

For the record, she said Quail Hill has its own problem. You do not  really  want to have your backyard on a mini-cliff or over the roofs of others. You want back surrounding of the house higher or on equal level of the front. Otherwise 'chi' will not stay and all leaks from the back, like from a waterfall.

You would think TIC would actually hire someone to do some preliminary assessments in the feng shui arena.  After all they are getting alot of business from FCBs and other domestic asian buyers who believe in this stuff.  Guess they missed the boat on LA.

True.  If you look at the fancy casinos in Vegas, they all cater their designs to the very superstitious Chinese gamblers.  TIC should do the same.

Good point, they even put in lots of red in the casino and restaurants.  The chinese restaurant at the Wynn is also named "Red 8".  TIC should do something like that before they take our money.

Maybe TIC wants some DIVERSITY in Irvine.....not just FCB's.
You don't have to be Asian or Persian to realize that Laguna Altura was built badly. Even the less diverse of us can tell it's not that good.

Why are 90% of the buyers in Irvine of Asian descent?  Don't other ethniticies like good public schools and well designed master planned communities?

the FCB effect to support Irvine's premium pricing

Ya'll realize there are no white people in Irvine than anything else right?  Ya know, according to the Irvine website data.

Not sure if this is a serious question but here are some stats that showed up not too long ago...
http://theweek.com/article/index/217640/americas-massive-racial-wealth-gap

White households were about 20 times wealthier than black ones in 2009, and 18 times wealthier than Hispanic ones. Every group's income fell between 2005 and 2009, but Hispanics' inflation-adjusted median wealth plummeted 66 percent, versus 53 percent among blacks, 54 percent among Asians, and just 16 percent among whites. As a result, the average white household had a net worth of $113,149 in 2009, a black household had $5,677, a Hispanic one, $6,325, and the average Asian household, $78,066. About a third of black and Hispanic households has zero or negative worth, versus 15 percent for whites.

you answered the question about why there are not as many blacks/hispanics... so that leaves two "groups" that can afford irvine's prices... this explains why there are not as many whites...

growing up i saw this happen to monterey park and diamond bar...

Does anyone else notice that there are a LOT of half asian/half white kids in Irvine?  How does the Irvine census data account for this?  Do white guys marry white girls anymore in Irvine? j/k
