I had to get the Pizza Hut pretzel crust a few days ago after drooling over a commercial for it. (I'm having trouble finding a pic online because they all seem to be Little Ceasar's version.) Anyway, I thought it was really going to be pretzel but it's not. They brush something on it to make it LOOK and TASTE like pretzel. Or so they say. It didn't taste anything like pretzel to me and barely looked like it. I'll betchya Little Ceasar's is doing it the right way. Pizza Hut also has a bunch of other flavors they can put on the crust like Honey Sriracha, Fiery Red Pepper, Garlic Butter, etc.

If you eat Taco Bell?s new breakfast, you may not live to see lunch

Most fast food companies are mere amateurs when it comes to concocting creative ways to help you gain explosive amounts of weight and boost you chances of an early demise. In our time watching the fast food industry evolve, though, we?ve come to appreciate KFC and Taco Bell as the real innovators in this field ? after all, few companies have given us anything as uniquely revolting as the KFC Double Down Dog or the Taco Bell Doritos Locos Taco in recent years.

Because of this, we were pleased to see Taco Bell once again up its game this week with the release of the new Chicken Biscuit Taco, a new breakfast meal that stuffs a slab of fried chicken into a biscuit-based taco shell and then smothers it with either gravy or jalapeno honey.

Taco Bell CEO Brian Niccol basically admits to Bloomberg that he has no idea if this new breakfast will catch on and that the company is trying something outrageous in the hopes of getting attention.

?The Biscuit Taco is going to get people to rethink their morning routine,? he explains to Bloomberg. ?When you do things that people don?t see coming, those are the types of products that get people talking.?

If Taco Bell decided to stuff a raw dead pigeon inside a taco shell and serve it for brunch, it would definitely get people talking as well. Unfortunately for the company, it?s also something we?d probably see coming as the natural evolution of Taco Bell?s other recent innovations.

yeah i saw that last night, TB should just sell the fluffy biscuit taco shell on its own as well, looks tasty. ill be trying this tomorrow for breakfast and will report back. although i will be getting one with ground beef, not the fried chicken.

Tried the biscuit taco with sausage egg and cheese. Pretty tasty. What made it really good was a side of the jalapeno honey to put all over the taco. Would recommend. I asked if the sold the biscuit shell and it turns out that they do.

That sounds interesting. How spicy is it on a scale of 1-10?

In other news, I am making Chicken and Dumplings for dinner. It is in the slow cooker right now.

just had a nice little kick, like a 4?

Crap, didn't know the Taco Bell triple steak stack is a limited item like the McRib.  The marketplace Taco Bell no longer has it.  Arghhhh.

@qwerty

Does the Von karman Taco Bell still carry it?  It's like a flagship store right?  Like the Del Taco's in Barstow.

the taco bell at von karman/barranca is a corporate owned store, the one at the marketplace is a franchise. i was there several days ago at the von karman location and did not see the triple steak stack on the menu. any taco bell will customize an order, why dont you get a gordita shell with steak and cheese? essentially a steak and cheese gordita? its the same ingredients just a different shape. the von karan location a lot times will have test products since its a corporate store, the marketplace location never has test items

Hey, I just read online that McDonald's will begin experimenting with serving breakfast all day. I love all-day breakfast places.

i dont know why they dont do it. jack in the box has been doing it forever with efficiency. i know Mcdonalds is trying to streamline their menu and increase their efficiency but i dont think offering breakfast all day would slow things down.

Breakfast loses its specialness if served outside of breakfast hours.

Does anyone other than McD call pancakes "hot cakes"?
