Did anyone go with a full kitchen back splash?  Was it worth it?

I'm debating whether to upgrade to full granite back splash or to just leave it alone as is.  Touch decision.

I'm wondering if going with the standard granite as a full backsplash would look ugly?  But then I don't want to look cheap and go full tile backsplash.

We upgraded our back splash in our Mendocino plan 2X with Colonial Cream full back splash.  If we were going to do the standard granite then we would have only done the 6" back splash as it looks a little bit too busy.  Our cabinets are white and we're going to change the standard tile and carpet on the first floor with engineered hardwood floors.

Had to blur the pic lol... Qwerty... we were almost twins!

I can almost make it out... the blurred out person is about to throw a frisbee in your house!  Or maybe shotput?

The two pictures of qwerters' and Homie's island compared to Tyler's illustrates what I was saying about a full granite backsplash that someone asked about earlier in this thread.

I just think it's a little too much especially with such huge islands. It's hard to tell, but I think Tyler has a subway tile backsplash that helps break up the space a bit.

When you have stuff on the counters, the full granite backsplash is less noticeable, but those bareback pictures looks like a granite explosion in your kitchen.
