I saw one of your posts about, anti-vaccinations let the old people have it and I never get any shots, I saw another posts saying everything is fine in oc hospital. You said a hospital name, but I will not use it. Then you talked crap about la, but isn?t la the second most populated city in the US? Also, what happened to OC. They were also short on icu beds.
I?m sure I can find your posts about masks and the effectiveness.
I spent 5 minutes on this and that?s 5 minutes too much. Tbh - why can?t we just tell the truth about this. I care about people and I think they should be informed.

I suspect you?re convoluting his posts of articles downplaying mask effectiveness with his post about three doctors he knows not getting the covid vaccine with his primary doctor saying it?s a personal choice while he never gets the flu vaccine.
The anti-effort people like to point to the current state of things to claim the efforts are ineffective while not acknowledging the the efforts have been subverted, denied and circumvented extensively. It?s like saying combating childhood obesity is pointless while slashing school nutrition funding and selling the lunch program to McDonald?s.

Governor Newsom uses secret data to lift California's seven week lockdown and predicts ICU capacity will improve - as critics brand it 'sad and pathetic' attempt to save his job amid recall effort
On Monday, California lifted regional stay-at-home orders in favor of county-by-county restrictions and ended a 10pm curfew
The lifting of the stay-at-home order allows restaurants and churches to resume outdoor operations and hair and nail salons to reopen in many areas
The state is also lifting a 10pm to 5am curfew and most California counties will return to the most restrictive tier for determining what businesses can be open
Some local health officials are worried the relaxation could undo the recent sharp drop in cases and hospitalizations
The timing of the restrictions being lifted prompted some critics to accuse Newsom of relaxing rules due to the threat of a recall later this year
Some Silicon Valley donors have been putting their support behind Rescue California, which is the group funding the push for a recall vote
The state had refused to make public the four-week projection for ICU capacities in each region. It did so late Monday after receiving harsh criticism from open government advocates and others who said the public deserves to know information behind decisions affecting their lives. However, state officials did not reveal the underlying data for the projections.

Thats all well and good and all points that I did say, I stand by. We can argue the issue all you want but Eye has made a very specific accusation that I know to be patently false. He accuses me of having credibility problems and bases that on made up quotes... I just called Eye on it. Not the first time Eye has done this to me and others here. I don't mind backing up my statements but don't make crap up and expect me to let it slide.

So I also question the Newsom Methodology but at the same time, if you look at OCHealthInfo or any other California county sites, it does show a flattening and dropping of case positivity, ICU numbers etc.
The fact they are projecting this out isn't any different from how they determined to lockdown in the first place as the increasing number projected out where we are today.
Now, should we stay locked down until we actually see the numbers because relaxing restrictions could just cause them to spike up again... that's the catch-22 situation.
And yes, I do believe there is some political motivation (I don't doubt that Biden may have reached out to his Democratic governors and asked them to ease up) but I don't get the complaining. For weeks people (no matter what side) have complained that the restrictions are too much and so now that they are finally being relaxed, people are whining?
The locking down wasn't just because outdoor dining/indoor haircuts were causing the spread, it's because there were so many indoor holiday spread events, that also having those things would just further the infections. It's logical to me... just not to qwerty.

Just got curious suddenly. If N95 or + masks are the only ones effective, how come people at the congress or even people you see on TV like Dr. Fauci himself is not wearing those? They're all wearing either the thin cheap ones or some fabric fashion clothes stuff. Anyone thought this odd? ???

N95 is a better mask but at the cost of comfort. I wear those masks for 12 hours and it feels like someone punched me in my face. It all depends on your risk exposure/tolerance levels. If you are young/healthy and doing outdoor activities and can social distance, a cloth mask is reasonable. If you are 65, obese, diabetic , indoor Walmart greeter, then N95 and face shield may be a better choice.
Not only the 65 year old plus have died of covid. Don?t fall for that trap door argument: only 1% die or only 65 years or older die of covid.

That being said, there is nothing wrong wearing a face shield. How do we know someone has not coughed, sneezed, or simply talked with airdrops in the air?
