Whats your choice in protein bar?

Also, by egg whites.  Do you do the actual egg white or one of those liquid cartons like egg beaters?

Kudos on weighing everything, I never had (but hopefully someday will) the discipline for that.

My honest choice would be the Pure Protein Bars from Costco for the ratios but for taste I really enjoy the Detour Bars also available at your local Costco  :D

I buy the 60 egg pack at Costco and boiling them at night and just eat the egg whites and discard the yolk.  I get my fat from a different source but the yolk is supposed to be good for you too.  I use to get the carton of egg whites but it's a little cheaper but more work with the whole egg.

Man, I should work for Costco! :D

I am the same way.  I recently downgraded from the full size 78 gram pure protein bars from online to the 50 gram ones Costco carries. Also, cheaper on the wallet.

Don't think I can do what you do with the eggs.  I just get the Kirkland Signature Egg Whites (then also include one full egg everyday)

I recently switched to the Coach's Oats that Costco carries.  Pretty good stuff.  This is the first food I ever actually measured the portion in my life (1/3 cup)  But I still don't measure the amount of liquid they want me to include.  Anything Costco doesn't have?

Costco love on a wrong thread, but what the heck- I will join the love fest :-)
I get boiled eggs from Costco- discard yolks. For the whole eggs, I get the organic ones from Costco- they taste better than the generic one, and yellow isn't stinky.

Pure protein bars are awesome! I tried a detour bar, but Pure has a better protein and carb ratio. Sometimes I buy thinkthin from TJs also. Satisfies my cardboard cravings. For those who have some time on hand, you can make your own protein balls/bars too. It can be as easy as mixing peanut butter with protein powder :-) I tried making cookies with some hemp (protein) and other good ingredients.

I use to do the Kirkland Signature Eggs too but the taste wasnt the same... Don't know what it was about it.

Weird, we get the Coach's Oats too...

Costco owns me.

If you are going for eggwhites, Trader Joes carries a better product. It has nothing mixed in- pure egg whites.

Numi Yoga- our Taekwondo center is offering these classes for adults. I am thinking, two months before I go on the trip, and this is a five week boot camp.. should work out..

Any experiences with such boot camps? Do they really take inches off of you?
The most intense group activity I ever did was spinning, and that was almost a decade ago..

Where do they sell those egg whites at TJs?

Ok, I think I've hit my goal.  I'm down to a certain body fat % and I'm pretty content.  Going to add a little more carbs in to my diet  :D

Breakfast - 3 egg whites and 11 biscuits of the Kashi Cinnamon Harvest cereal with 1/2 cup of 2% milk.

Snack - Protein Bar.

Lunch - 8oz grilled halibut and 1/4 cup of rice and veggies.

Snack - Fage Greek yogurt with a drizzle of honey.

Dinner - Soup Plantation :)

Woohoo! Congratulations, Homer! You've worked so hard towards your goal and now you've achieved it. I will think of you every time I am about to put a Berries & Cream Sweet Roll Pastry from Costco into my mouth. "WWHD?" I'll ask myself.

At the egg section- there are egg cartons, and the egg whites in tetra packs..

Somebody is very generous with their serving size :-)
I need to squeeze some water weight out. May be next week, slow carbs and slow cooker- waiting for it to cool down a little.. I will sprout mung at home, and make yummy spicy dishes that will fill me up three times a day  8)

I'm going to make it my mission to break homer by leaving two egg mcmuffins at his front door every morning and following it up at dinner time with two  big macs

Speaking of breaking a diet, on the way home yesterday I stopped by Oahu shaved ice in Fullerton. Got a jumbo with extra syrup. Highly recommend if u like shaved ice. It's off of orangethorpe/lemon next to the amc theater.

You can break Homer by leaving 20 pistachios at his door step instead of his usual 17- BODY FAT!!

They call it "biscuit" but they are the same size as the shredded wheat cereal.

For that I will not say hi to you when you are walking with your dog and your bat.

Anything similar in and around Irvine? I wouldn't drive to Fullerton just to break a diet.. but if it's right here, may be I will work it into a binge day. So far so good with Bundt cakes- too bad eight people are supposed to share it!

Not where I would have thought it would be over by the bakery. Irvine Costco. On a food aisle. At the end closest to the side of the store rather than the end nearest the middle. Facing north. Comes in a round, clear plastic tub.

Am I supposed to be giving directions in the diet thread?  :-X
