So, 3pm the whole plan goes kaput.
I eat a good breakfast, lunch, but after spending an hour in car, picking up two kids and coming home, I just eat anything and everything. The control is back for dinner again, but I eat so many wrong things, I can't undo it all. Any easy and healthy sugar fixes?

How about a green apple with some almond butter?

Yes, I have a girlfriend that I've been seeing for the past 2 months.
Hey... that's better news than me buying a house... congrats!!!

Iho, friend, congratulations / condolences - whichever you prefer! I must have missed something. I hardly ever read the real estate part so of course I'm the last to know or else I would have said something earlier. Enjoy.

Sorry to confuse... we have not bought a place yet. But USC has been waiting for me to join the club and what I meant was a report on his romantic life is much more interesting than me finally buying a house.

It's OK- you were the only motivation. SoCal and I fall off the wagon easily. To see you eat healthy gets me back on track..

Yeah, Homer. Feel free to hog it all up if you want to. Of course, no pressure to, though. I agree with CZ. Reading other people's successes makes me want to try harder. For "thinspiration", sometimes I go on Youtube and watch videos of people who have lost 100 lbs. or more and see how they change. Or, I read their stories and look at their before & after pics. I don't have 100+ lbs. to lose, but I know if they had that far to go and are now thinner than me (gulp), I shouldn't whine. I should do something about it.

It's definitely inspiring to see how determined you are. I honestly don't have an ounce of the determination that you do. I did a few years ago but now I'm finding it's getting exponentially harder the older I get. If you can do it, I am very happy for you and would like to continue reading about your status, any new challenges, how fatherhood changes your eating and workout habits, etc. if you find the time to post.

Do they have Donut Butter? :)

AHH! This is one of those posts I read where the neighbors are going to wonder if I'm okay.  :D

:o Oh... my... God. Oh, IHOOOOOO. Lookie here. I have a surprise for you.

Donut Butter Recipe!http://tastykitchen.com/recipes/desserts/donut-butter/

"Inspired by Speculoos Cookie Butter, this Donut Butter is delicious! Use it as a spread for crackers or dry cookies, a filling for cookies or cakes, in sandwiches with fruit or jam, heated up as a topping for pancakes, waffles, or crepes."

It's too bad you're not my real life friend. I would totally make you a jar of doughnut butter... then stand back and dial 911.

Mmmmmm.... donut butter.

Forget this "Use it as a spread for crackers or dry cookies, a filling for cookies or cakes, in sandwiches with fruit or jam, heated up as a topping for pancakes, waffles, or crepes."... you know what I would put it on? DONUTS!

Donut butter filled donut with donut butter on top... TRIFECTA!

I hope my "healthy eating" lifestyle will continue when my son arrives and consumes all my time.  Like I've told IHO, I'm probably going to stop playing bball to spend all the time I have between work, business ventures and stalking CZ/SoCal with my wife and baby.  But I'm sure I'll continue to post on Talk Irvine.. :D

No worries, Homer. One day you'll have a house full of 17 kids like IHO and be right back out on the court playing.

Give it 6 weeks before thinking about it. By the 4-month mark, the cloud will lift and all will be well again.

Hey, anytime it gets overwhelming, just drop off the baby with me for me for a while. You guys can trust me :P
First two weeks will be bliss, wife drugged out, baby still very-very sleepy.. I think the worst part is when all the parental help disappears and work picks up.. 12 weeks. You will find a way to make it all work, don't worry.

(We will see a LOT of you on TI. That's how it is for me- the more work I have, the more time I spend socializing virtually!)
