Brightwater Huntington Beach reduced 300k?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
<em>Excuse me, why is it that you assume I (PotawatomiSister) am the same person as HB Big "turd"??? Are you crazy?

</em>Because, I am a moderator, and the forum software tells me you are the same person. The software isn't crazy, it is right.

Now, I am going to go enjoy my Sunday, in my house (that I own). Maybe, I will do something to help contribute to the economy. Maybe, I will go check out these overpriced homes. Maybe, I will do some work, and grow the business to help add to the economy. I don't know, maybe, I will go and <em>decimate</em> some areas in my own <em>desperation</em>.

Thanks for wishing me luck.

Pota, don't you know the rules? You are not allowed to say anything positive about the Brightwater project. If you do, you are either an employee of Brightwater or one of the ignorant people who bought a home there. You would think that Graphix had some ancestors buried in the development the way he is trashing it so much. I really don't mind if he does, but please at least visit the Cliffs and Breakers before commenting. If you do still feel this way, then please direct the ignorant masses to a better development. Better yet, let us know where your home is because it must be the perfect home. Thanks in advance...

xanthem (aka Brightwater employee, aka Brightwater homeowner, aka HB Bird, aka PotawatomiSister, etc...)

Wow... how about this? Why don't all you Brightwater defenders contribute something to the forums in something other than this thread, and other than bragging about it, or trying to put me down. Once you actually have something useful, in more than just this thread, and positive to add, then maybe you will not be accused of being a Brightwater bagholder or employee. But, as long as all you can add, is to defend Brightwater, and try to put down anyone else who doesn't agree with you, then it looks pretty obvious you are here for one reason only. Sound familiar? Yeah, try reading what you write before criticizing someone for the same thing.

Geez.... you people are desperate, and the more you post, the higher up this thread goes on google. Keep the attention coming.

Oh yeah, Pota and HB big turd are the same person, that is a fact.

<p>On a related note, what is good for the builders & developers doesn't concern me; they are a "for-profit" industry and therefore depend on providing what the market wants, not what they think the market should get. Well, if they want to stay in business, that is. So, in reality what is good for the consumer/homebuyer is good for the builders & developers. In this specific case, those developing Brightwater tried to pack in a ton of crackerboxes in order to subsidize the huge 'view' lots, and wildly overpriced both. It's not a big surprise that they are failing miserably. They could have either gone ultra-high-end and created a few really large estate parcels, or created a harmonious village like Seacliff. Instead, they figured they could overcharge people for the dubious priviledge of living like sardines in one section, while really overcharging on the better sized lots.</p>

<p>As builders & developers, they are lousy businessmen.</p>

<p>My thoughts are that if you really like beach living in established areas with wide streets and mature landscaping try looking at San Clemente south areas. Check out some of the gated communities with private beach access.</p>

<p>It is a long way to commute but one of the best lifestyles left in SoCal. Not for everyone due to drive and price but good values for beach living.</p>

<p>Graphrix</p>

<p>Don't let them get to you. Lots of games in todays industry. Three more of my friends have been laid off from builders since we last posted about it a month or so ago. I think the people left in the building industry are desperate and naive since the experienced folks are history.</p>

<p>Enjoy</p>

Graphix,

Moderator or not; you are wrong. I am NOT the same person as HB Big Bird. I have no idea who that is. You claimed it was a FACT that I am the same person. Wrong.

xsocal land merchant... you really think that when employers are downsizing and laying off people, that they let the EXPERIENCED people go first? I doubt that. Not in building or any other industry. I think the building industry has lost some very good people to layoffs thus far, but in general, employers begin the layoffs with their weakest links first, leaving behind the best and most experienced. I think it's safe to say that the people at Hearthside definitely do not appear to be desparate, in regard to their Brightwater community. I think they have a lot to be proud of and some great success to show for it. I can't say the same for some of the other builders, or perhaps for Hearthside in their inland empire communities???

So sorry to post anything positive on this blog... don't want to ruin things for anyone!!!

Who's IP shows as Hearthside?... So what's important to note is that the IP addresses are not the same as each other... and since the moderator, I believe, must honor the confidentiality of someone's IP address.... that line of discussion should go no further, as it really has no relevance.

Okay... now I'm scared, but at least I understand all the previous blogging!!!... As soon as I call PETA... I'm retiring from blogland... Y'all have a really nice life! P.S.... Those are some really kick-*ss louvered closet doors in the background! I'm just taking a crazy guess that you really DON'T live in Seacliff based on those! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your decorator! :)

<p>PS,</p>

<p>I seriously doubt the dude in that picture is anyone from here: <a href="http://icanhascheezburger.com/2008/03/02/funny-pictures-1-of-us-is/">http://icanhascheezburger.com/2008/03/02/funny-pictures-1-of-us-is/</a></p>

<p>Troop,</p>

<p>I was waiting for the right thread to post that in! You beat me to it!</p>

Just because 2 people have the same IP address doesn't mean they are the same people. More than likely it just means they work for the same corporation and the IP address is the address of the gateway

<em>Just because 2 people have the same IP address doesn't mean they are the same people. More than likely it just means they work for the same corporation and the IP address is the address of the gateway.

</em>This is true, however in this case, the IP address was unique. So, either they are the same person, or from the same exact location. I will honor privacy, to the extent, that I will not disclose where, or what company it comes from. I will not honor privacy, to the extent, that when two people/posters, who ironically defend the same thing, use the same IP address. This has happened many times before, and ironically, it is always someone with a bullish perspective. It is immature, lame, and weak, since it is anonymous in the first place. Like Trooper said, have some balls.

BTW Pota, I wouldn't want to be accused as being HB Big turd either, hopefully you aren't, because he was/is a complete and total asshat.

<p>I think you may be new here (not sure about your dual name thing) but I have over 20 years in the new home industry in SoCal with public builders and a private one and have been thru the last 2 downturns and retired prior to this one. <strong>I have been directed to lay off the most experienced employees since they were the largest hit to the budget by Division Presidents at two publics I worked for.</strong></p>

<p>I have watched forward planners, field supers, escrow officers and experienced customer service people pink slipped and replaced with lower paid less experienced employees on both prior downturns. Also saw good people overworked until they burnt out and just plain old didn't give a hoot. </p>

<p><strong>You are trying to sell ashes to the devil if you think corporate entities dont cut high cost folks wheather in the building industry or other industries</strong>. <strong>He ain't buying.</strong></p>

<p><em>"So sorry to post anything positive on this blog... don't want to ruin things for anyone!!! "</em></p>

<p>I am somewhat of the Resident Bull here and am positive-but not blind or dumb<em>. </em>I still chat with a lot of my industry friends and it isn't a pretty picture.</p>

<p>There are some folks on this blog who are a little uninformed but there is also a wealth of knowledge and information here. I have never been afraid to post positive statements or go against the grain here if it is accurate and supportable.</p>

I have been perusing this forum for several months now. I came across this thread and it compelled me to put in a few good words to everyone in here(homeless and graphrix in particular). I was one of the lucky ones to be able to sell my home for more than a mil just before the housing bubble finally burst. I was seriously considering Brightwater Hearthside Homes until homeless pointed out this site being a possible ancient burial ground. At this point, even if the homes there are selling less than 50% off the market value, I would not live there. I rarely participate in forums, and I'm pretty sure there are many people like myself who only want to be anonymous, but this little information had made such a big impact on my decision that I had to chime in and thank all of you who participated because I would have made a "grave" mistake had I purchased a home there. So again, THANK YOU ALL!
