Thanks Socal, but thats a picture of uncle IHO holding Bart!
You got me on this one... I started laughing and people were looking at me funny.

That guy is too fit to be me, the last time I was that small was in 10th grade... plus I'm blonde.

Just a little more thought before I give into an afternoon snack and a little less often on the popcorn on the couch after putting our son to bed.

I've been good with getting the walking in and curtail one 'snack' or mindless eating during the day and viola, 500 calories the other way.

I say that, but today has been bad had to get up early at 5:30 so I'm a bit of munch today.  But overall I've been much more mindful of the mindless munch.  I stopped counting the calories too.  There's something insidious about eating reasonably and then having extra calories 'left' that you then fill.

Also been eating a lot of watermelon which hydrates and fills and calms the sweet tooth munch need for very little calories and low GI load.

i.e. Skipped the cookie substitute at subway last week, got the chips instead and sadly, yes that does save about 280 calories.

I traded ice cream for popcorn. Baby steps. Maybe one day I'll ween myself off the popcorn. For now, at night I eat either popcorn doused in garlic salt or Kettlecorn w/ cinnamon-sugar sprinkled on it every night.

Pampered Chef sells these little shakers that make cinnamon-sugar too easy. You can mix it in there and then just shake it on when you need it. It comes with a cap. Sugar has like 15 cal/tsp and cinnamon has zilch. I probably only use 1 tsp. It's very good on Kettlecorn!

Down 19 lbs.

So close!! *Slowly puts Milky Way down*.

I am going to skip my cheat day this week to speed things along.

When I go on vacation soon, I am planning to let loose because all of the walking should even things out. I will definitely be ordering the "Buffalo Milk". That should be a huge clue where I am headed. I will also be taking my favorite old jeans with me that I couldn't zip up prior to April. I am happy when my pants fit.

Have changed my Macros to: 45C-35P-20F for my new training.  Hoping for awesome results!  Calories have been upped to 2450.

The Thursday invite still stands Homer!

SoCal - Have fun on the island!  I hope you guys have a great time.  I have fond memories about going there with my family when I was younger.

I see lot of new characters. Somebody has gone evil.
My update: nothing to report except that eating is back to normal. I am done with whatever binge I had to do. I love beans is the new mantra. I can't eat chicken.. even though I tried, there is something about meat that turns me off. After one bite, it feels like a punishment. Too hot for fish.. So vegetarian again! 6 lbs up, but still the same dress size. Did plant after almost 3-4 months yesterday and ugh! 35 seconds before I broke a sweat. 45 and I was down.

What's that in layman's terms?

I weighed in flat.  Maybe due to a fairly high salt intake day prior.  The more important test, pants fit still loose.

Did SD Zoo this past weekend. Amazingly, my pedometer said barely 10,000 steps.  We were only there about 4.5 hours though before our boy konked out.

plank, not plant..  :-[
SD Zoo is a great walk. I had my endomondo tracker on, and we walked around 4.5 miles. The steps are a good work out, aren't they?

Mmmm. Right now I'm smoking Sockeye salmon on my Weber charcoal grill. Grilling potatoes and asparagus with it. I <3 my grill!!! Even though grilling is a "man's sport", I can't help it -- I have been having a lot of fun with it. Everything comes out so good.

Working towards my goal has been going sucky. I was 1 lb. shy of a 20 lb. loss. Went on a very short vacation. Did a ton of walking every day. Ate a little more than usual but didn't go crazy. Came back. Got on the scale. Up 10 lbs.! Nice. Retaining water like crazy. It is slowly going away. My thyroid medication was adjusted down. This is going to make it harder. As if it wasn't hard enough already especially as we get older. Sometimes my mind says: "You look like crap. Why try?" True, I do look like crap but I am trying to ignore those thoughts about giving up and just keep going. Giving up I don't think is the answer.

Mmm, smoked sockeye.  Yum.  All we had was slow roasted pork butt that cooked for 12 hours in the crock pot, pulled and crisped on the grill for 10 minutes, coupled with pork fat braised carrots and pan roasted potato wedges and some grilled naan.

Have you guys tried grilled fruit? I haven't but I've heard it's good. I have some fresh peaches I may put on the grill.

I've thought about the grilled peaches with a pork on the grill or maybe grilled apples.  But in general, I don't like the idea of smearing oil on a fruit to grill.

Good fresh fruit is such a perfect food as is.  Although it could be an interesting side instead of the standard staples.
