I just looked at them all. Shares isn't bad looking, either. About the only thing I would emphasize is the need for contrast between text and background. (Text size and "thickness" are important, too, though.) On the initial set up for forums, the text did not sufficiently contrast and its size and thickness did not make up the difference (had the text been in bold, it would have jumped out enough from the background).



Of course, now we can choose the look, my point may be moot. But if y'all stick us with a single option, then please make it readable. :)
 
not in love with any of the themes but the font and general hokiness of shares is much more similar in feel to the original, aside from the colors of course.



is there a way to post in html without having to use the tags? i liked being able to use hot keys for things like italics and bold, rather than having to insert tags. its rather clumsy.
 
Eva and Nude....avatars are cracking me up ! Nude, LL will be glad to see you've incorporated a sock into it.....



I clicked on all the new skin choices. Shares reminds me somewhat of the old format, which I like...but the text doesn't pop out, the background is too bleached and the text too small and light. Blue Theme is better, but reading the white text hurts my eyes. So far, default is still my choice....sigh. How about some variations of the Blue Theme...not such a deep blue, that way the white text wouldn't be so...well, white.



Thanks for trying to tweak all this zovall. BTW, all the issues I was having the other day have corrected themselves.

I'm having fun making them! ISB's turned out pretty cool, too.

The good news is that this forum software is VERY adjustable. The bad news is that it's going to take Zovall some time to get things tweaked just so. I'm sure the look and default view will get sorted out, but I doubt it will be this month.



EDIT: Just realized that some features and buttons do not carry from one Theme to the next. Change themes with that in mind.
 
Am I crazy, or was there a link yesterday to the main blog from the forum page. Now that there is no link, how do I get back to the main blog page without signing off and on again. (If I've viewed 30 posts, hitting the back button isn't going to cut it).

I'm sorry to hear that. I try to keep mine timed to a frame per second or longer, but there are so many animated .gifs our there now, you may want to take some dramamine before reading the forums. Especially if signatures become enabled.

You aren't crazy. I expect zovall is tweaking some stuff around in response to feature requests.

In the meantime, you can just add the main blog page to your favorites and click to it from there.

I think you can just click on "home" at the top of the page, where it says Home > Forum home> Real Estate > IHB Blog Discussion, etc. It'll take you back to the main blog page.

On the very bottom of the page, there's a "Select a theme" pull-down menu. You can pick and choose the colors that you might like. I think most of us got used to the old colors, so if we could add that as a theme, that might work better.



As for suggestions, I'd like to see a blog with lasers, missiles, and a flame thrower.

I only have: Forum Home > Real Estate > IHB Blog Discussion > Thread > Post Reply. I am currently using the default mode of skin. The word (link) Home proceeded the words Forum Home yesterday....but it's disappeared for me today. Not sure how that happened.

Different themes have slightly different functionality. The 'default' theme does not have the link. The 'grey' theme does.
