Why are so many people uptight on IHB?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
[quote author="caycifish" date=1212473550][quote author="acpme" date=1212407155] on the other hand if i said, "the premiere will be the best place to find some hot chicks that are easy to pick up", that's a different story.

</blockquote>

Um, what if it's true? My girlfriends and I were discussing just that on our way into the theater to see SATC last weekend. Single chicks in the group lamented the lack of straight, single men we would be running into that evening. We all agreed that single, straight men would be smart to go to the movie if for no other reason than to meet women. And let me tell you, all the ladies really dressed up for a night out for this movie and were looking good! For the record, my group ranged in age 23-30, all of us have at least one bachelor's degree and 2 were married. And no dissenters.</blockquote>

There was a huge SATC premiere party at the St. Regis last Thursday.

I didn?t go due to the Laker game but heard the turn out was great.

From the sounds of it, a lot of places around town are hoping to benefit and are tying their marketing to the movie.

A friend of mine mentioned that Opah?s at the Irvine Marketplace did SATC nite as well.

Cool.

Now post pics or face the consequences.

:-P</blockquote>

Don't you wish. :-)

The pic of our group was taken with a friend's camera, so alas, I have nothing to share.</blockquote>

Next time you meet, let me know I selflessly volunteer to take pictures.

Okay, quick show of hands, who else was thinking that?

Worse ideas have been suggested.

Good call Ten. Maybe we need a low key 'IHB Meet' for the cool kids who arn't uptight. And cayci can bring her friends. I say the first one to close on a million+ house hosts.

Great idea, just not sure where to go with Cayci and friends

Recently made the mistake of taking this girl I was dating to 3-Thirty-3.

Like hitting the Vegas all-u-can eat buffet on a full stomach.

Since we?re all on the same team, we should join forces and share ideas.

Cayci?s not an OC club girl, but clearly likes attention.

Gleaned that gem from her comments about getting dressed up (no sweats and a hoodie here) to see SATC.

They ?lamented? at the lack of quality guys but were open to being chatted up. (Very Good Sign!)

So, I was planning to meet up with her at Color Me Mine.

24 suggested Dave&Busters;at the Spectrum.

Apparently he has a power card with $100 left on it.

Graph recommended a comic book store, and also suggested lending me the Michael Bolton cd he rocks out to in the car.

What are you thinking?

haha did i suggest D & B? either way, i am part of the video game generation and have a power card handy. Unfortunately, there isnt a 100 bucks on it :(

I never heard of that 3 thirty 3 place. Is it any good? I went to their website and their slogan on it "small plates, big taste." I dont think I'll ever go there, Im a big eater.

Seriously 24, did you read her comments?

Change up your approach, she?s into My Little Pony not Halo 3.

This means she?s into sensitive types.

I see us cuddling up sharing a glass of merlot.

She?ll melt like butter once she sees my collection of Care Bears and Lacoste sweaters.

My Enya cd is cued up and ready to go.

Good point, I don?t want to be too obvious though.

Thanks for reminding me, before Cayci comes over I need to replace ?Knocked Up? with the ?Notebook?.

Fortunately, I keep plenty of tissue boxes around.

If you buy from Costco, they?ll deliver a whole pallet for you free of charge.

Btw, have you seen Knocked Up?

Great movie!

yup, just recently saw forgetting sarah marshall. Knocked up tops them all though. I would put wedding crashers above these but its not in the judd apatow group

knocked up > 40 year old virgin > forgetting sarah marshall > superbad

actually now that I think about it, its too hard to put any of those first on the list. I'm sure whatever movie I have seen most recently I would put on the top of the list. Except Superbad, I wasnt feeling that one compared to the others.

Haven?t had a chance to see Forgetting Sarah Marshall yet.

Knocked Up is at the top of my list as well.

Did you see What Happens in Vegas?

Not sure about it, wondering if it?s worth checking out.

Man.. It would be so cool to see single men hooking up with single women in the IHB. It will be the "IHB" version of eHARMONY. Romance is in the air. I can feel it.

Ten, I am kind of curious? How old are you?

Panda, I thought you already used all your questions this week? You don't get 2 questions per section of the forum. However, I will let this one slide. I am curious to his age too.

According to Myspace, I?m 99 y/o.

So you never thought of me as a sensitive guy before, you see deep down I?m really no different than you.

I like the fact that you?re here to help, so please direct all the young, beautiful, and single girls that you know to this thread.

If you perform well, I will present you with a pair of Coach flip-flops, exactly like the ones I wear when you arrive in Irvine.

How?s that for incentive?

I'd love to help Ten, but many of wife's single friends and single connections are in Chi-town and they have no interest in joining an "Irvine Housing Blog". We need to figure out how to attract all the local quality OC single ladies to join this forum. Any creative ideas Graph?????

Ten, have you considered joining a singles small group at either Saddleback or New Song Church? I am sure your chances of dating and marrying a "Quality Woman" would be atleast 100 times better than "Sutra" or the bar scenes in OC.

By "Quality" I am comparing Newport Coast to Santa Ana.

Panda's .02 cents.

For Ten's eyes only:

I really liked 3-Thirty-3 before it got a bunch of reviews in magazines and started getting really crowded.

Bhahahaah. Thats awesome.

I'm a little busy today, so I only have a few passing comments.

The Notebook sucked ass.

I thought Knocked Up was really funny.

I do actually own a Care Bears t-shirt.

I do occasionally go to OC clubs.

Color Me Mine. Dude. You are joking, right?

You. Have. No. Idea.

IHB chat anyone?

I?m not real sure how to put this, maybe 25w100k+ can help me.

The point is you do not go 3-Thirty-3 for the food.

The food is secondary.

Please connect the dots to what?s primary.

The place is not meant to be Applebees, Cheesecake, or HomeTown Buffet.

Pssh, i'm a Marvel/DC Entertainment type of guy! Ha ha.... my wife and I have to make it out dancing again. Unfortunatley 90% of the places don't have a good spray of music.

Ten and Caycifish,

I use skype when I talk to my indian programmers in india, however it will be a cool tool for both of you single guys. You can talk, chat, and also see the other person on video. Skype totally rocks and it is FREE!! www.skype.com. It would be cool if Graph could find a way to enable Skype for the new release of this forum. This way i can see if TEN is the "Real Deal".

Panda,

The IHB chat used to be plenty of fun without needing to see people. It's easier to have virtual fashion shows that way. :-)
