I would argue for baby supplies (diapers, baby food, wipes, and formula), target online and Amazon mom can be cheaper. Esp when target runs those gift card deals. Add on some coupons, 5% red card discount , etc, etc. Plus you get more selection of brands.

No way...I look at it all the time.  Costco is a lot cheaper on diapers and formula.

Ymmv. I got 600 huggies wipes from Amazon mom for $3 and a box of Huggies overnights for $8 last month. Target ran that $40 off $200 diapers/formula deal a few months back with additional GCs when you bought x boxes of pampers and huggies diapers and formula.

1)  You do get a better deal on Amazon mom but I don't like the subscribe option.  I buy when I need it.

2)  Costco has private label wipes that are great and a lot cheaper.

For example, Huggies Pull-ups:

http://www.amazon.com/Pull-Ups-Training-Learning-Designs-Packaging/dp/B00HB0WPBE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1446050585&sr=8-2&keywords=huggies+pull+ups+3t

Costco:  33 cents per diaper vs. 41 cent per diaper (no discount)...even at Amazon Mom discount, it a tie.

But again...the convenience factor is not that big a deal to me because I pick up a lot of stuff at one time.

The Kirkland baby wipes? Yea I use those too. You can get them at non Costco places. You do pay a bit more but I've found them for a few more dollars than the Costco member price.

Sure..but Costco has a lot of high-quality private label stuff that I can get all at one time.  Shopping multiple website is not necessarily more convenient.  Costco also has a great return policy.

I already conceded I'm in the minority and it's unamercian to not shop at Costco. All I'm saying is - Costco isn't the end all be all. Deals can be had all over the place. Shopping from my phone while waiting for my kids to do ther tiger mom activities is a hell lot easier than driving over to the physical Costco.

I picked up the Amazon Chase card since they were offering $100 of amazon purchases.  I'll use my Freedom Chase card this quarter because of the 5% rebate but then I'll use the Amazon Chase card since it provides a 3% discount on all amazon purchases.

Other than the chicken, the ribs, the pizza, and the chicken wrap I can't stand Costco.  Being that it's just me, myself, and I there isn't a need for me to buy in bulk.  And those gas lines are beyond stupid at their gas pumps....I can't believe people actually spend 15-20 minutes waiting to gas up their cars.  Get a damn 5% off gas card from PenFed and call it a day.

Gas line is not as bad as you think.  Make sure you get in line behind a three pump island instead of 2 pumps.  Never get behind a RV.  Average savings about $5-6 full tank.  So roughly $150 a year.

The new lines are pretty smooth.  Although, there are still times you want to avoid, esp on the weekends.

Speaking of 3 pump island, after the renovation, the Spectrum Costco add sever more pump so several  islands now have 3 pumps too.

Agreed on the gas lines.  You definitely want to avoid certain times but overall it's pretty smooth and quick.  I don't go out of my way to go to Costco gas but I pass by one enough times in a week to get gas when it's not too busy.

Savings is about 20-30 cents a gallon...for 16 gallons, that's about $3-$5 per fill up.  If you go out to GG or Buena Park...savings can be like 35-40 cents from Irvine.

Yep, never go there when gas lines are ridiculous.
Both cars are 20 gallons, and it's always at least 30 cents cheaper than the closest/cheapest station.
And we go frequent enough to time the fill up.
Go every week and it adds up.
That's when I wished I had the tesla model s and x.

$150 doesn't seem worth it.  And I'm all about savings and what not but such a hassle to go and at the right times too. Obv if you work or live right  next to one - then makes sense.

Good time to catch up on TI when waiting in gas lines.  Also notice Costco pumps always go faster than others.  So that means the filters are clean and you're getting better gas right?

I use to tell my wife that it's not worth waiting but there is a much higher delta between the other gas stations than Costco within the last couple months.

Costco was good for formula and wipes.

I saved hundreds, maybe thousands buying diapers at Amazon instead of Costco.  Amazon was about half the price of Costco when it came to diapers.

AMEX has a few new offers:  small busines $10 off $10 purchase, $10 off cable or cell phone bills, etc.. check each card, offers are unique to each account

AMEX has a $15 off $60 Amazon offer.  It was on my clear card and not on my Costco card.

Chase will have 10% cash back Amazon starting 11/23.

Read you can just reload $60 into your Amazon account, charge it to the activated Amex card and you'll get the $15 offer confirmation by text/email soon after.  Don't really have to buy anything.
