Of course, one could argue, OHMYGAWD, how can one who plops down millions of dollars on a home not do their due diligence.

"Of course, one could argue, OHMYGAWD, the disclosure was not written in simplified Chinese."

There, fixed that for you.

That sounds like something only a yenta with a jew-fro would say.

Orchard Hills, stonegate, Cypress, woodbury.. I still wouldn't want that.. not even West Irvine or the Turtles.  These graves need to be on the moon.

The guy who has been pushing for these vet cemeteries said, "don't hide us in on some hill".. sheesh.. get over yourself.  ;)

"The guy" is laughing at you.

I'll be damned! I forgot that I actually bought a home in PP back in Dec 2014 so I do have a hard copy of the reports.

There is a report called Contiguous Area Report Redevelopment and Remediation of the Former MCAS El Toro Base. On the 4th page, or page 17 of the report, which I attached here, it clearly explains the possibility of a veteran cemetery. See the section outlined in red.

Oh, poo yaliu! Someone can do homework! Just not you.

my goodness.. the poo poo vet dude is back.

Are any vets outraged that there are no AAFESs in Orange County?  Riverside is a long drive from OC for discounted rib eye steaks.

1. How can WillJoy forget he bought a house in 2014?

2. When did yaliu buy his house... does his disclosure have that same paragraph or is he not disclosing that?

Would still love to see a disclosure history from GP proposal (some data's been posted) through GP planning (hazy), down to individual tracts (Jan 2014 does seem to be a bit late...) As noted some of the OC Old Timers have expected it to be put in the park, but was that just based on what the GP pitch was, or what the documented plans said would occur.

my understanding on that disclosure statement is cemetery may or may not build.  it may build in anywhere in orange county.  however, it is build in GP, it may impact traffic.

with that understanding, i should NOT buy any house in orange county...

Well yaliu does have a good point... the "disclosure" is awfully vague.... like saying it may or may not rain, and if it rains, it may fall anywhere within Orange County, including the Great Park, and if it falls within the Great Park, there could be flooding.

So sign here so you can't sue 5P if it does rain.  But you better believe that 5P does everything in its power to put an umbrella over the GP, because if it does rain, the last thing it wants is to have a flood wash away all of its profits.

Area 17b is pretty bad... it's right across the street from PP.

How about Parcel 4?  BRCM is having a fire sale.

Your other two links don't mention any cemetery... the "Great Canyon map" omits any reference to it, and your third link, "Great park evolution", just mentions a military museum and "central veterans memorial" or "war memorial" but no cemetery.

how old are these images?  2015? 2014? 2013???

based on previous posts, the cemetery was on, then off, then on and then off.

So the disclosure *was* in your paperwork?

assume a potential buyer for LA county wants to buy a new house in beacon park TODAY with cemetery is already approved.  how will this potential buyer know there is cemetery going to be built?

too lazy to dig up all the paper.  i just remember there is landfill, jail and nuclear power plant.  i dont remember if there is cemetery.

however, let's just assume there IS such disclosure, should I just NOT buy any old/new house in Orange county?
