There is a Habit opening up on the corner of culver and walnut where Burger King used to be.
Never eaten there, is it any good?

I thought it was good, but like iho said, Tommy's would have been better.
Also like both, but I'd give the edge to Habit over Tommy's...unless it's after 2am and you're drunk, then Tommy's wins hands down.

Oooh, how's the pastrami at the Habit?  I can definitely use a good pastrami place (not a fan of the Hat for some reason)

I saw it on the lake forest menu

might head out there tonight

Lao Dong Beef Noodle to open in Irvine (Walnut/Jeffrey), where the pho place use to be.  Iffy yelp reviews for their other store in Rowland heights.  Wish it was something else.

The food court always seemed like an afterthought. That Charlie's subs or whatever it was called was pretty good though

The food court at the Irvine Spectrum is closing on Dec 31... too bad... I just ate at the Japanese place about a month ago.

Was anyone asking for a bigger Improv?

Except for Rubios, which already closed, that food court sucks.  I would rather have seen different tenants along the same lines as Chipotle and Pieology take over that space for faster food options before catching a movie vs all the restaurants.  There's enough restaurants at Spectrum and almost all of them are mediocre.

That's the same feeling I have, there is really no quick food option before watching a movie now... I guess the new kabob place but that's it.

About the Improv, it sees enough business to expand... from the article, it's also going to be for other entertainment than just comedy.

The expansion of the Spectrum made maintaining a food court at only one end of it a bit inconvenient... but closing it makes it inconvenient for the weekday work lunch crowd and also for the apartments nearby.

Looks like Honey Pig has opened last month...anyone try it?  Not a fan of pork belly but the kimchi fried rice in the end looks interesting.

Yelp reviews are very up and down...seems like either one hates it or love it.  There are enough good AYCE BBQ restaurant in Irvine where I find it hard to pick that as my first choice...you can make kimchi fried rice in just about any Korean BBQ restaurant.  I still haven't made my way to Gen BBQ or the new place All that BBQ.  Pretty much go with Korean House for any Korean food needs.

The Gen Sushi on Culver/Irvine has converted into a AYCE Sushi place.  Yelp rating are quite good...haven't had a chance to try.
