Not wanting his daughter to attend a particular school because there are too many Jews is considered textbook anti Semitic.

How about all the TUSD Asians who don't want their kid to attend Irvine schools because they think they're too Asian?

Depends. If they are looking for a less homogenous environment for their children, then no. If they attribute stereotypes of the prevalent ethnicity to the school as a whole, then yes.

So maybe Bannon was looking for a less homogenous environment for his daughter.  ;)

He's not done enough to stop the rioting going on all over the US right now.  And where is Hillary?  She is showing lack of leadership by not doing much to stop the riots.

At this point this has nothing to do with HRC. The protests are against Trump and how his election is normalizing intolerance. Rioting is something that needs to be addressed at the local level and people are getting arrested in the hundreds over it. In most cases it's people marching with few incidences of violence. Protesting grievances with your elected officials is an exercise of our constitutional rights. There's no business for the federal government to step in at this point.

Obama has been quite hopeful about Trump and rather optimistic - so much so that there is criticism from the left about how he should be denouncing him instead.
Your bias goggles are strong.  I was not talking about organized marches, when asking that Obama and HRC condemn them.  I ask that they take a stand and condemn the riots.

The protests themselves are normalizing intolerance.  The protests are normalizing bigotry.  They are normalizing people crying wolf and labeling anyone who they disagree with with some "ist" label.  Their fears and anger was created by dishonest representations.

Blocking traffic is not a constitutional right unless the city gives the okay.  Damaging cars is not a constitutional right.  Imprisoning people on the road is not a constitutional right.  Attacking people is not a constitutional right.  There are right ways to protest and wrong ways to protest.  Every protester caught on the freeway should get an automatic month in jail.

A good leader would clearly ask the people to STOP.  Why doesn't HRC show us that she would have been a good leader, by leading?  She should ask the people to stop.  Obama should also.  Yes, he is showing class with Trump, but damn.  Address the issues of what's happening in the country.  Be a leader!  Condemn the violence.  Of course he wont.  He helped fuel lots of other riots in the US throughout his administration.

C'mon, I don't believe my vote counts (in Cali) but it is my license to bitch.

More than half of arrested anti-Trump protesters didn't vote in Oregon

Portland, Ore.?More than half of the anti-Trump protesters arrested in Portland didn?t vote in Oregon, according to state election records.

At least sixty-nine demonstrators either didn?t turn in a ballot or weren?t registered to vote in the state.

KGW compiled a list of the 112 people arrested by the Portland Police Bureau during recent protests. Those names and ages, provided by police, were then compared to state voter logs by Multnomah County Elections officials.

Records show 34 of the protesters arrested didn?t return a ballot for the November 8 election. Thirty-five of the demonstrators taken into custody weren?t registered to vote in Oregon.

That is some giant hypocrisy right there.

#NotMyPresidentEvenThoughIDidntVoteAtAll

The first amendment is not conditional on the civic duty of participating in the presidential elections. This is nothing but a lame attempt at discrediting the dissatisfaction that many are expressing towards their government.

If participation and support is important enough to bail on work, ditch class and spend funds and time getting there than you would expect them to at least have participated in the election itself...not asking a lot here. I don't have to discredit the hypocrisy ...it is pretty self evident.

Those non voters were among the ones that got arrested. It says absolutely nothing of the overwhelming majority that participated peacefully. Yet you are implying that the whole protest is moot ...

If you got yourself arrested than you were probably at the vanguard of the protest...the most committed to the cause.  If those were the leaders than i think we can safely assume the sheep were of like wool.

Bannon's ex wife made that allegation in a divorce proceeding. Bannon denied making those statements.  If you believe allegations exes throw at each other in divorce proceedings, I've got a $400,000 brand new Hidden Canyon view home to sell you.

He refers to himself as a "nationalist" and proudly described Breitbart as "we're the platform for the alt-right". So he doesn't explicitly write it but hires the staff (Milo, for example), sets the direction and provides the megaphone through which they can espouse their racist, xenophobic, sexist, anti-semitic rants.

Two days ago the media were smugly criticizing Trump for filling his transition team with Washington Insiders. Now with the announcement of Stephen Bannon, they are going haywire, declaring that Trump has named a RACIST, MISOGYNIST, ANTI-SEMITE, and GAY BASHER to his team, because he is not part of the mainstream power elite. You?ve got to love the duplicity.

Anybody that believes America's needs should come first is a nationalist.  The opposite would be a globalist, which is what the Bush's and Clinton's have worked for their entire careers (open borders, free trade, and pro war).  Being alt-right means you reject the globalist aspect of the Republican platform.  That's it.

Another aspect though is the complete rejection of political correctness, and the way Breitbart has chosen to express this is by writing sensational and offensive headlines as a means of reclaiming their 1st amendment rights in the press.  This is where I differ with them, since I believe in more civil discourse, and I wouldn't call my self alt-right for this reason.. but a nationalist, yes.  I believe taking care of America's needs comes before taking care of the needs of other countries.

The reason I voted for Trump was because we shouldn't be intervening in civil wars across the world (Libya, Syria), nor should we be toppling dictators willy nilly (Iraq) unless there is a legitimate threat to our national defense.

The issue with "nationalist" is that there is an implied & silent "ethnic" in front of it (Richard Spencer also goes by "nationalist", for example). The nationalist and alt-right movements are just a rebranding of classic white nationalism and they oppose diversity and immigration which they claim is a form of "white genocide". Keep this in mind if you decide to call yourself a "nationalist".

I am a critical thinker.  We all have bias.  Does that mean I can't point out a poor response due to bias?

Your response shows that you don't want to participate in an honest conversation.

Never heard of these guys Trump is picking.  I guess Pence is already against gays.  We'll see how this all turns out.  Hard to get a feel for what people really are when there are many conflicting reports.
