I'm the director of finance/acquisitions for a full-service real estate investment company based in Irvine. I'm 28 and currently living in LA while my wife finishes her medical residency and fellowship. Once she's done (in a year), we're going to move down to OC and buy a place, hopefully in CDM or southwest Irvine.

On the side, I'm a wedding planner. My client, alan, is taking advantage of the new marriage law that just passed! Isn't that great ?! We've been putting in some long hours to make he and his partner's special day real nice. His theme is "Pink, Pink, Pink"....catchy, don't you think ?

Will post pics soon !</blockquote>

Nice! My wife wanted a pink wedding also. I even wore a pink tie. Here's a few of our pictures (she's wearing 3" heels here...)

Some of us drive Hondas and Toyotas by choice... it's amazing what you can do with disposable income when you aren't squandering it. Ah heck, we put some of ours into another form of depreciating asset, but in the LONG run I still think our return will be better than a leased BMW, Mercedes or Audi.

Gosh, don't the photos just humanize everyone? I'm not sure I have the courage to put pics up here. It changes everything. Was everyone else surprised by what the true (or so we think) No_Vas looked liked? How about the pictures of IR's kid picking strawberries?

Maybe just for fun, those of us who have not met others, post how we envision other characters here? I have pictures in my mind of Awgee, Freedom, Trooper, etc... and I suspect that I'm dead wrong. Don't even ask me what I imagine the real Ten to be :)

Your official title is Intern.

$95K a year?

More like $20/day.

Now put your red vest on, head downstairs and fetch my ride.

I?m off to the Pacific Club for lunch.</blockquote>

Ok, fine. You caught me. And how do I afford that 500 a month car payment? Well Ten, do you ever notice change missing from your glove box?

Maybe one of your Good Charlotte cds missing? Hrm......

</blockquote>

I?ll be in Vegas over the 4th of July.

Good Charlotte is playing there and I?m considering getting tickets to their show.

At least a dozen people have called authorities this morning from across San Bernardino and Riverside counties to report seeing a ball of fire drop from the sky.

Dispatch supervisor Tom Barnes of the San Bernardino County Fire Department said the calls began about 10:45 a.m.

"We don't know a whole lot right now," Barnes said. "We've taken quite a few calls. Everybody seems to be looking north to where they are."

Residents from Temecula, Banning, Beaumont, Lake Arrowhead, Corona and the desert reported seeing something in the sky. Barnes said he has spoken with the state's Operation of Emergency Services, which is investigating the sighting.

Hey Ten, I'm heading out to Vegas for 4th of July weekend as well (to see my dad who lives there). You gonna be playing poker while you are out there? If so, let me know because I'll be over at the Bellagio.

Thanks for the invite.

If I were into that stuff, I would drop you a line.

Sounds like you need to meet up with my dad.

He wears Tommy Bahama, smokes Cohiba, drinks expensive wine, plays poker and stays at the Bellagio.

Good Luck! Win some money

Dude, you have a down payment fund AND a car payment, i.e. you are earning little after-tax interest income and paying non-deductible interest expense?

Oh don't get me wrong Stepping Up because I drive a Honda Accord. I picked it up last year as an 06 with only 10k miles for $16k and couldn't be any happier (especially since I'm getting around 30mpg). My previous car was a 99 Honda Accord with 229k miles on the clock and still running strong. Some of those residential loan officers/real estate agents were living it up and now are hurting so I'm sure here have been a few repos. Live by the sword, die by the sword!
