But isn't AA comment part of the unwritten rules in TI?  I can think of some:
1.  Thou shall live in Irvine and Irvine only.  Do not live elsewhere if you don?t want to be called poor.
2.  Thou shall say that MY neighborhood/village/community is the best.  All others are idiots for buying other village although it is less than 1 mile away.
3.  Thou shall not express your happiness/excitement about your home purchase as it will trigger jealousy and/or potential suspicion that you work for the builder.
4.  Thou shall waste time debating which school is the best regardless of the marginal difference.

I am being sarcastic if it is not obvious.
I'm waiting for the other 6 of these 10 TI Commandments.

Or did something like this happen?
https://youtu.be/I48hr8HhDv0?t=44
This message board is more fun than owning a home in Strada.!
I'm tempted to add one more to the 10 commandments
"Thou Shall live in "PUDs" only; and let they children play with KitchenAid Appliances if IUSD did not give enough homework!

I have a similar stove.  I've noticed that most kids can't figure out that you have push the knob in then turn it in order for it to work.

Once they're old enough to figure out how to make it turn, they're usually old enough to not care about touching it or to know better.

Speaking of stoves, has anyone received upgrade pricing for stoves from Irvine Pacific? It would be nice to have an additional oven below the stove, but I'm not willing to pay much extra for "nice to haves."

You mean you want three?  Two are standard right?. If I had the choice-- I would like to have a "food warmer" and "Wine cooler"!!

I think these are offered as upgrade options --so you should be able to select them.

This one at BB&B should work, check it out:

Does anyone have a method to child-proof the kitchenaid stove top they offer as standard appliance?

Standalone_1175X1290.jpg

It doesn't appear to have any child lock, and I haven't seen any knob cover that's large enough.  To stove guards also only protects the kids from reaching the range, but does not prevent them from turning the knob.

I would like to ask Strada Neighbors regarding services:

1. Who is your internet Provider? Does AT&T offer Fiber-Optic  based Internet
2. Cable? Or DirectTV? Dish? COX or Time Warner? Thanks

How are sales going on latest release?  When do they release Phase 14?

I just glanced at the siteplan in the office yesterday, and I saw red/sold homes on a lot of Phase 13 homes on Copper Mine. Phase 14 is officially released next weekend, but we dropped off a deposit this weekend for ours. We're in. The strategy of waiting for months for an end of cul-de-sac lot with a reasonable yard paid-off.

One plan 2 and one plan 3 available in current phase. No reason not to wait for the cul de sac lots IMO. They have 2 quick move-in plan 1s. June move in for one of them I think.

When you say current phase, do you mean the phase released in another week or actually sitting and ready? My understanding is they are still working their way through the list and no plan 2 / 3's are available (unless you are in that spot on the list).

We're buying a Plan 3. The Plan 2 is great, but you can find issues if you're nit-picking, which you have every right to do at this price. The only concerns we had with Plan 2 are that the downstairs bedroom's bath acts as the guest bath, and that the kids would have to share the bath upstairs once they're teens.

What other issues made Plan 2 a deal breaker for you?

Walked in Sunday and they had that available on the price sheet provided. 86 copper mine for $1.128 and 95 copper mine for $1.169. All the other current phase homes had sold signs on them except these two. It sounded like I could just buy one of them if I wanted to. Strada sales people (2 women) are extremely nice and engaging.

Yeah, I guess one did fall out of escrow (1.169 one). Not sure what the 1.128 is but that would be a pretty good price for a plan 3 (presume it might be one of the older ones that maybe fell out?).

1.128 is a plan 2.

Congrats! Glad you got your end of cul-de-sac!!! Mine is on another cul-de-sac where there is a common fire lane path to culver. I think yours is better because of more privacy it has. Do you think you are closest to the house backing you on your street? Mine is closest as I can tell. The house is sitting a little bit away from the street for the curve of cul-de-sac. So two end homes backing each other are squeezed together more than others.

The only other issue I can think of, is that the entryway from the front door into the great room, sort of bifurcates the great room. It makes the area feel a lot smaller than the Plan 3's great room. In exchange for that though, you get a very large kitchen in Plan 2. Like I said, these are just nit-picks.
