kudos to Irvine Commuter - James Park is nothing but a fraud.

I would advise any people not to have any official business with Mr. Park unless you want to have your money swindled - you have been warned.
I think that's a bit harsh unless you have first hand experience.  I've met James and he's a very upfront guy.  His efforts may be a little more direct than other agents on here, but that doesn't make him a fraud.  If you don't want to hear from him about Johns Creek, click the ignore member button like PS9 said.

I don't know James at all so I can't speak about his character or personality.  I am simply remarking about his strategies on this board.  I come to this board to learn about things happening in Irvine and the surrounding area.  The fact that James comes here to promote his business in Georgia is already annoying to me.  He then comes and trashes Irvine and the surrounding area without having up to date knowledge adds to the annoyance.  His distortion of the JC/Atlanta areas are what pushes me over the cliff.

I get it.  He is a business person trying to drum up business.  It's silly IMO and if the site hosts don't mind, who am I to object.  I just wish he would be more honestly and upfront about it, rather than hide behind "honest questions" and "I'm just trying to educate."

Socal:

You don't deserve to breathe the same TI air as us.

I don't care if BI is here.  He has just much right to be here as anyone else.  He just doesn't get to sell his trade here.  Especially not as to services that have almost no relevance to the intent of this board.

We are very content with our low Financial IQs, thank you very much. Please, don't make us think with our brains.

What the heck does this even mean?  There are plenty of extremely intelligent people on this board who have excellent financial IQ.  In fact, many of the people here came from IHB and were discussing about the financial unsoundness of the real estate  market in 2005 and 2006.  One of the main reasons that I didn't buy during that time was because of the discussions that I read and had at IHB.

In fact, the reason why I am wasting my time posting on this thread is that I don't want newbies and casual visitors to read BI's sales pitches without proper context and facts.  Like I said before, it's bad enough that he is hawking his trade here...it's 10X worse that he uses outdated facts about Irvine and distortions about JC/Atlanta to do it.

We don't want to hear about attractive investment opportunities. When you come upon something exciting that you are jazzed about, we do not want you to share it with us, period. Just leave us in the dark.

This is not an investment board.  This is not supposed to be BI's personal website to promote his business.  This is a place where people come to find out about what's happening in Irvine and the surrounding area, with an emphasis on real estate issues.

Excuse me, Sir. You'll recall we had discussed a pact between us. The idea was that I do not address you and you do not address me. We do our own thing separately and do not bother the other on the forum. To be fair, I've held up my end of this deal, with the bite marks in my tongue to prove it. Difficult? Very. But not impossible. However, your post goes against the grain of what we've discussed.  If you need a refresher as to why we got to this point in the first place, then it may be helpful to review previous PMs and threads. As I've said before, the goal is to remain respectfully disengaged.

Whoah whoah whoah... I have dibs on TI being my "personal" forum (according to my other screen name).

;D

Any day now, I expect to log on and see the banner changed to: "Talk Iho"

C'mon people give this guy Baby Irvine a break. He is testing out his hypothesis by uprooting his family to the other side of the country by applying the history he learned about early Asian pioneers and settlements in SoCal. Asian often drive up RE prices due to their behaviorial and lifestyle tendencies in other cities with similar contexts in a built environment that offers safety, education, job opportunities, shopping, eating and most importantly new housing. He is not trying to solicit business here and if he is then he is beyond stupid. TI members are not risk takers and would not even venture out 10 miles radius to buy anything substantial. Many here are likely to miss opportunities like IHO. To go across country as a Lone Ranger to drop $ 1/2 mil on some RE is extremely remote base on many personality traits I see here. Baby Irvine is just over zealous and regretting the early missed opportunities in Irvine knowing that chance will never appear again. He feels JC is a place where he will find that home price appreciation and redemption he regrettably made years ago. He certainly is hoping that some members with a diverse background who knows about all facets of developments who would engage in his theory to prove or disapprove it. A word to Baby Irvine, you are wasting your time!
