BI/Panda: I don't know why I keep feeding the troll because I know that's what you want anyways but I do need to call you out on some of your claims.
First of all, there are not 5 Hmart near you. There are 5 Hmarts in Georgia. Three are in your "area". If you live in Suwanee, there is one in that city. There is one in Duluth (7 miles away) and another in John's Creek (6 miles) away. There is another in Atlanta which is 20 miles away and another (the Super H Mart) is in Riverdale, which is 38 miles away. The Megamart is in Duluth, which is 7 miles away. There is also an Assi market in Duluth.
There are 2 Korean markets in Irvine, Zion, H-Mart, and another in Tustin (Assi closed recently) I live about 5 minutes from one (Zion) and probably 10 minutes for another. There are also two 99 Ranch about 5 minutes from my house and tons of Chinese food options. Atlanta has a dearth of Chinese markets and few Chinese restaurants.
If we are using 7-10 miles as a radius, you would have to add in Garden Grove. Fullerton and Buena Park are about 15 miles away. GG has at least 2 Korean markets while Fullerton has 2 or 3 more. If we're going 38 miles, we're into Koreatown, which we both know have tons of Korean markets and businesses.
As for sushi...pretty sure you can't beat Orange County and California for sushi. Nori Nori is about 30 miles away from Suwanee. Makino is like 10 miles. Japanese food is also insanely good in Orange County. Irvine is decent especially now that Matsui is here but Costa Mesa has great Japanese food (ramen)
One thing also missing in Suwanee...Trader Joe's. There is one in Norcross, which is 13 miles away and 20+ minutes by car.
Additionally, if my experience with East Coast roads holds true in Georgia, mileage is a bad estimate of time. California/Orange County has insanely good freeways. Just about everything is next to the freeway (or easily accessible).
Please don't start with the weather. The quote about "sunshine" is pretty silly. Orange County (and California in general) is known world wide for its temperate weather. Wineries are everywhere because of the mediterrean climate. It's no contest climiate wise:
Suwanee has an average July high of 87 degrees and an average January low of 28 degrees. Comfort Index is below average for the US (35 v. 44). It has 108 days of rain (53.3 inches)

Suwanee also has average highs of 80 or above between May and September. December to February average highs are in the low 50s while the average lows are around freezing point.

Irvine on the other hand has a average July high of 72 and an average January low of 50. It has a comfort index of 53. It also has an average of 53 rainy days (12 inches) and no snow days. Irvine does have a higher UV index
Seriously...look at this graph. Average highs between 63 and 72 and average lows between 49 and 65.

I would also dispute your contention that Irvine is matured. Irvine is ever changing. There is a lot of development in the past few years, especially an increase in ethnic business. Even the TIC is recognizing the trend by bringing in ethic business into its major malls.
Seriously, I get that you're a salesperson but your cheerleading is pretty tiresome. It's really silly to try compare any location with one of the most desirable location in the world. I am sure you are have a great time in Atlanta and it does look like a developing area. But stop with the Irvine bashing...there is a reason why real estate prices in Irvine is 3X what it is in John's Creek. Supply and demand is the best gauge.
