Agree , this is called basic decency and manners
Many things were ?ok? in the south in the 70s and 80s and I am sure there were people who must have complained that not being able to use the n word or f word (for gays) was too politically correct and waking on eggshells. We have progressed beyond that era .
There is a new ?baseline? now and everyone who is answerable to anyone else for a living knows that now , unless you have been living under a rock.
All that being said , I do think the gop base will lap it up and it will help him w the turnout . But ... in a diverse state such as Florida , that may not be enough . Well , if not , they can always fall back on cutting back on polling stations in urban areas

Clearly there are far more retirees with free time and cable remote in their hands who will be whipped into rage by your reliable media machine in a few weeks ? and conveniently play the victim to another mainstream media conspiracy
Just own it and be proud . After all Kaos is already calling the election for the klan a full 2.5 months in advance : )

there are two pretty distinct strains of left politics that tend to get conflated together ?
One is welfare state expansion (free college, Medicare for all, etc) and there?s good evidence it?s popular in poll after poll .
But the *other* face of left politics is stuff like radical anti-war, ?abolish ICE,? and there isn?t any evidence that stuff is popular
Smart candidates focus on the former , not the latter if they want to win
While GOP superpac ads , Fox News and AM talk radio , focus exclusively on the latter
We will only find out in November .

The problem is this guy falls into both categories. He is as far left as they come and has a ton of his own corruption baggage to boot...He's all yours.
