This is just like Charlottesville.

Day 1: Say something obscene

Day 2: Backpedal

On day 3, tomorrow, he's going to throw a hissy fit and go right back to denying Russian involvement

played out exactly like I said

Second Putin summit, anyone  ?

Now I'm confused....

12 of Them Rooskies MUST be handed over to the United States! There are indictments!!!! (AKA "accusations without evidence yet presented in open court")

This is ok, however

ERMAGERD Putin asked POTUS to have a former Ambassador handed over to the Russian Federation and questioned about a criminal matter. (AKA "Also something that will never happen")

TREASON!

Interesting how this has become such a one way street on this whole matter. This who nonsense of a wonky "prisoner exchange" for information is complete foolishness. Too many pixels are being slaughtered over the subject at hand.

My .02c

SGIP...I know you are a smarter person then this.  There is a process here...the latest set of indictments are to demonstrate to the world (and Putin/Trump) that Russia did interfere and it was a concerted effort on the part of the Russian government.  The next step is to link those actions to Americans...then after collusion/obstruction of justice.

It?s the economy, stupid.

David Rubenstein: Democrats winning the House in November is no longer 'conventional wisdom' under healthy economy

The Carlyle Group co-founder David Rubenstein said it's less likely the Democrats win a majority of the seats in the House of Representatives during the 2018 midterms.
Rubenstein said that the healthy economy under President Trump and Republican leadership could mollify voters come November.

LOL.  We are at Dems +9.3 and the fallout from Helsinki has not even fully sank in.

So...Russia/Putin good..free press bad.

The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media. I look forward to our second meeting so that we can start implementing some of the many things discussed, including stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear........

I mean...that message is basically a Russia/NK/PRC state media announcement.

Oh..and this is the new norm:

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said Wednesday that President Trump will discuss allowing Russian investigators to come to the United States to question U.S. citizens, including a former American ambassador to Russia.

Sanders said during a White House press briefing that Trump is ?gonna meet with his team? to talk about the potential for Russian officials to question U.S. citizens like Michael McFaul, who was ambassador to Russia from January 2012 to February 2014.

?There was some conversation about it, but there wasn?t a commitment made on behalf of the United States,? Sanders said. ?The president will work with his team and we?ll let you know if there?s an announcement on that front.?

It's Trump vs. Everyone, including his own cabinet. His own State Dept head described this as absurd today. It's a reflection of your character, when you openly defend Trump. Remember that (not addressed to IrvineCommuter).

Trump has always been a projection of his supporters...older white males who don't have college degrees but middle class.  Trump is who they want to be if they hit the lottery...the gawdy decor, the trophy wife, and say anything they want.

Why is Trump even think about letting Russia interview Michael McFaul (ex US emabassador to Russia).

Also why does Trump want to outsource the investagation to Russia?

Trump comments that he is not thrilled with the rising interest rates.

My comment:
Is Trump considering: inflation, economic growth

Candidate Trump:

The Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, who has previously accused the Federal Reserve of keeping interest rates low to help Barack Obama, said on Monday that the US central bank had created a ?false economy? and that interest rates should change. His Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, seized on the remarks as proof that Trump is not presidential.

?They?re keeping the rates down so that everything else doesn?t go down,? Trump said in response to a reporter?s request to address a potential rate hike by the Federal Reserve in September. ?We have a very false economy,? he said.

?At some point the rates are going to have to change,? Trump, who was campaigning in Ohio on Monday, added. ?The only thing that is strong is the artificial stock market.?

But hey...unemployment rate was fake until it wasn't!

Now the question is where that Russian money went

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) used political donations to pay for almost $15,000 in tickets for Boston Celtics games, winery tours and trips to Las Vegas, according to a McClatchy article published Thursday.

Nunes, who is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, used money from his political action committee to purchase Celtics tickets three times last year, according to McClatchy's analysis of reports from the Federal Election Commission and two watchdog groups.

His PAC, called New PAC, has also footed the bill for lavish Las Vegas events since 2013, spending a total of $42,741 on catering, rentals, hotels and meals, McClatchy reported.

The bro-fest with the murderous dictator invader of neighboring countries will be continued at the White House.

No day goes by...

We will never know if the Russian meddling was enough to cost Hillary the election.

Why does it matter that the Russians favored Trump? If the Russians favored Hillary and she had won, would that diminish Hillary's presidency?

The silent majority will not be swayed by hysteria. Recent history shows the opposite: the louder the screaming, the less effective the message. Aesop knew this 2.500 years ago.

Nothing will come of this hysteria.

Bookmark this post and come back after November to save me the trouble of posting I told you so.

Yes...of course you don't care because GOP is all about ends justify means now.  Who cares if another country launch cyberwarfare in an effort to affect US presidential/Congressional races.  Who cares if the US President completely undermines the US intelligence agencies as well as the FBI while praising Putin.  Who cares.

I am sure that you didn't call for Hillary to be locked up or contend that the Clinton Foundation took money from foreign sources or that Clinton sold uranium to Russia.

The pure blinders that Trumpers have are just incredible.

Who cares? Is the question. When polling  the answer is, pretty much nobody. Trump collusion with the Russians doesn?t even garner an asterisk.

"What is the most important issue to you in deciding how to vote in this year's election for the U.S. House of Representatives: the economy, taxes, health care, immigration, or gun policy?"
