Sad.... :-\

"We've been told that Anthony Davis will take his $4M trade kicker so they'll have around $24M to fill out the rest of their roster."

i'd do the same.  why should ad take a hit and not the next guy?  kyrie or kemba want to come to the lakers and be a second mover after ad then they can take a discount.

LOL some moving company doing Kyrie's move just outed that they are moving his stuff from Boston to NY. That company is never going to get a high profile client again...

Getting Kostas off waivers is interesting. What if he becomes the next Freak... I like that move

Signing Cousins was also great... he's going to have a good year this year if he doesn't re-injure anything.

I guess I jinxed Boogie.

Feel bad for him, seems like his last 3 injuries (achilles, quad, ACL) were all non-contact.

So who do the Lakers look to replace him with?

Dwight? Faried? Gortat? Noah? Melo? Bogut? Is Mozgov still playing?

Lakers need (1) a good defender, (2) a good passer/playmaker, and (3) good shooter.  Noah can possibly satisfy two of those 3 things.  He's the choice.

I like Noah too... but wonder about his fragility. Hasn't his last few years been injury plagued?

All these guys have flaws.  if Noah's biggest flaw is his durability, I still think he's the best fit.  If he get's hurt, then it's 'next man up'.

As it has been said, availability is the best ability. :)

I like Faried and Gortat as they are pretty durable. I don't mind Howard, but also injury prone... part of me does want Melo to have one last hurrah even though I don't really like his play style.

LBJ and AD look good together... so exciting.

Was it this thread that we were talking about what's the best way for Lakers to start winning again? Through draft or free agents?

Young guns weren't working out but if LBJ and AD stay healthy... purple and gold can finally get back to the playoffs and possibly the finals.

I looked back at the beginning of this thread and looks like Towns and DLo did end up as better players than Okafor.

Jury still out on Ball and Ingram but Randle is legit.. too bad he's on the East Coast now.

Is it too early to start planning the parade? Avery Bradley a lock down defender.

D Russell with Golden State recently said that the Lakers are like a fantasy basketball team.

The west is still stacked and if AD or Lebron get injured it'll be a tough road for the Lakers.  **Knocks on wood that no one gets hurt
