Are you comparing Kuzman with Tatum?

Lonzo out for tonight's game.  Guess next time we'll see him is in the pre-season games.

Wonder if Lakers will unleash Ingram to win the SL championship  8)

Ball's best offensive comp is probably kidd.  He doesn't pound the ball like cp3/rondo and gets it out of his hands as quick as possible.  Defensively, Kidd was a beast defensively (man d as well) so that's unfair.  He'll probably end up around Nash/cp3 level/curry defensively.  He'll have a good steal/block rate, but it'll be off the ball like others have mentioned.  He actually anticipates passes really well, might even be elite based on what I've seen.

Kuzma.  I'm seeing young Robert horry type game.  A bit of draymond in terms of versatility.  Maybe a little odom without the handle.  But he'll fit right in with Luke's position-less team.  I like the pick.  He probably should've been a top 15 pick (compares well with tatum's SL stats) ..maybe it's the lonzo effect.  Maybe TJ leaf won't be as good as anticipated since he's not with Lonzo anymore. Or maybe Kuzma is legit on his own.

I saw our team almost lose that 20 point lead with Lonzo off the floor. His impact on/off is incredible.  He's going to make our legit nba talent like  Lopez/Randle/Clarkson look even better like he has with all our d league talent.  Guys I'm feeling more confident in my playoff prediction.  He's special!  8)

Pfft.

Lavar was on ESPN710 this morning saying that if it were up to Lonzo, he would play on a broken leg.

If you can't play Summer League without getting hurt... what's going to happen during the real season? They better rest him up these next few weeks, training camp is just over 2 months away.

His injuries were light.  Flutz got hurt.. even Fox got shut down.

Again... what's up with these young guys getting hurt so easily?

Aren't today's athletes supposed to be in better shape with all this nutrition and hot yoga stuff?

Lonzo MVP of summer league. He should have a press conference and start tearing up.

Kuzma may be the scoring wing the Lakers need. He was shooting 3s from beyond the arc and unlike Ball, the form looks good.

Maybe they won't need PG13 in 2018. :)

The frontcourt is looking crowded, eh? Ingram, Randle, Nance, Kuzma, Brewer, and don't forget Deng. Does Deng get any minutes?

Pacer fans should be pissed. Is Oladipo any better than Clarkson? He's due $84M over the next four years! Clarkson is due $37M over the next three. That fact alone makes Clarkson much more attractive. Then throw in Kuzma over Sabonis as prospects. GMs lose jobs over terrible decisions like this (MITCH!).

Starting lineup would be what?

Lonzo, KCP, Ingram, Randle, Lopez

Then 2nd level would be:

Caruso, Clarkson, Kuzma, Nance, Zubac?

Deng should be traded.

How about start Kuzma and Randle off the bench? Boom

If Kuzma keeps shooting 40%+ from 3, he's starting over Randle. I think they're still trying to figure out the backup PG issue.

Clarkson can be backup PG, which will give Hart time at SG. I think Kuzma can play the 2 or 3, and Ingram can be 1-4.

So when is the Lakers parade for being the Summer League champions? Do they get rings and a banner for that? :)

There was a trophy presentation, and shirts handed out. Many players were removing them walking back to the lockerroom, and throwing them to fans.

I predict 41-41... I can see them winning at least 50% of their games.

Low 40s in wins might earn them the 8th seed in the tough West, and a date in the first round vs. the Warrior juggernaut.  :o Expectations would be zero, so it would be fun to watch.

Lakers will be 32-50 in the tough West.  They need more shooting.  I think Brook Lopez is now their best 3-pt shooter (by %).  That's sad in today's NBA.

Yeah I think 3 years down the line, Kuzma will be the better player between the two.  It's wayyyy early to tell, but Kuzma's 3 pt shooting looks legit.  Form is great, can pull up on both sides, run/catch and shoot with ease.  Shoots a bit like Korver IMO.  Defense is solid too and runs the break hard every time.

Tatum definitely has more post moves and a bigger offense repertoire, but I haven't seen the outside shooting touch that Kuzma has. He reminds me so much of melo lite version.  But without the quickness that rookie melo had to blow by defenders.  He wasn't able to blow by  summer league defense and scored mostly on the block or in the post which is telling.  NBA trainers will have to work with him to get his quickness up or his ceiling will be not as high as the other top picks.  Based on the eye test, Kuzma seems quicker than Tatum.

Again, the ironic thing was that the Pacets took leaf. He will be exposed without playing with a guy like Lonzo.

Yep TJ leaf IMO will be exposed at the nba level, without a guy like Lonzo setting him up for high percentage shots.  I'm just not sure of the fit with Myles Turner.  Did they pick TJ leaf with the assumption that they were picking him for another team in the pg13 tarde?  supposed BPA?  Or for their own team?  TJ leaf is definitely a super high character guy but his game doesn't quite fit with Turner.  He's definitely not quick enough to guard 3's .. so he's a 4 most likely which is Turner's position.  Pacers would've been better off with Kuzma (someone who could potentially guard 2-4) and run the floor/shoot.  Hindsight, Pacers would've been sick with our offer.  Turner/Kuzma/Randle/Clarkson/28 pick...easily trumps Oladipo and Sabonis.  Might be a playoff team on the east

Tatum is interesting. How many minutes will he get on that team? Will they really throw the ball to him on the post and watch, letting him kill the offensive flow, like other ball-stops (MELO!)?

Don't underestimate the power/allure of Leaf's ethnicity for Indiana...
