Actually it will be razed and offices going up.

Interesting if true. I am talking about the mobile home park near Irvine and Jeffrey. Called Groves I think. Are you referring to the same one? Thinking 70 acres prob cost ~$200mil to buy, maybe more.

He must be talking about a different one.  His map doesn't even show that intersection.

I don't think The Groves is going anywhere

Test is confused yet again. He/She thinks the trailer park @ Irvine Blvd/Jeffrey is the same as the old RV sales site neare I5/Sand Canyon.

I would like to inform all PP buyers and interested buyers that Pavilion Park will be zoned to IUSD only. They have no intention of waiving their rights under the agreement which would allow transfer of  its property to any other school district. I've confirmed this with our home builder in writing.
The document states that IUSD has binding agreement with Heritage fields for construction and operation of 5th high school and two K-8 schools to serve students of Pavilion Park

Interesting to hear.  It's probably a lot of hot air as we discussed.  Interested to see what it looks like going forward.

You thought it was hot air?  It sounded to me like you thought svusd was a foregone conclusion. I must improve my comprehension skills.  ;D

Yeah...like I have connections with IUSD board..

Regardless.. there is a bit of a battle going on over there.  They need to sit down and work things out.  I know they just started building things out.. but would like to see how soon they can build out the Great Park.

Just because it's zoned one way - doesn't mean it can't be zone another way.

I think the key question is what is the language of the agreement between 5P and IUSD.  It certainly doesn't help that 5P seems to be part of the problem.

Just fyi, I just received the regular emailed newsletter from our school with district news, SVUSD, saying that they are "eagerly anticipating the addition" of new students from the areas discussed here in this thread. I haven't kept up with this thread, so, forgive me if I'm repeating info already posted.

5P is a threat to the Irvine Ranch. The best way to kill off FCB interest is to plant the ambiguity seed regarding the district re-zoning may not be IUSD. In the next couple of years Beckman and Northwood will be presswired the best High high schools leaving the other neglected siblings Irvine High, Woodbridge and just recently fallen from grace UNI jilted.

Yeah they want more kids because they are losing funding.  It's already been documented.

Sometimes I wonder how many closed door meetings Irvine Co. and the city council have had regarding this.  If PP was an Irvine Co. / Irvine Pacific development this would never happen.  Meanwhile the city council is effectively threatening their own constituents with this shift.

It's been mentioned earlier that their aren't enough PP residence to really make a difference in IUSD population over the long run.  If anything they should make it known up front for other 5P developments instead of muted threats to take a bite out of PP residents property values.

The city already approved TWO low income apartment projects to sandwich PP between.  PP residents property values are already in the dump.

Oh shoot you're right, just like all the low income apartments listed here:http://www.cityofirvine.org/civica/filebank/blobdload.asp?BlobID=10323

Have sunk the property values of Woodbury, Northwood, Turtle Rock, etc.

Woodbury has how many market homes to low income homes, and PP has how many?  Oh shoot.
