I am so honored that I have taken your virginity post! Would you like me to show you additional pleasure?

It's a derivative of trolling for reactions/replies.

That describes IHS perfectly. He has quit countless times but always comes back trolling for reactions/replies.

I have been following these blogs for a long time. Finally delurked and got baited into posting.

How does one get 'baited' if no one knows that person is there? Speaking of baiting, you seem like an expert.

When you look at the top of the post near "Topic", you always see names like Zubs, Irvineshopper, thatOSguy, then you see 8 guests.  How do you make those 8 guests register and contribute to the forum?

Troll them.

Amazing Cunningham actually got credit for that concept.  I would suspect it was probably in the Art of War somewhere too.

Doe that mean that Zubs, Irivineshopper, thatOSguy are successful trollers/baiters?

IHS, just curious, so if you could have turned back time, would you rather have lived elsewhere and send your daughter to a "lower ranked" school ?  What would you have done differently ?

Lets weigh the choices:
IUSD
~ A meat grinder - Causes students to kill themselves and become arsonists
~ Due to massive competition, need to go to after school tutoring to maintain a A, B average
~ Harder to get top ranking, thus harder to get into better colleges.

Every other school district:
~ Doing the same work as IUSD gets you in the top 5 therefor it is easier to get into better colleges.

I guess there is something to be said for throwing your child and yourself into the Irvine stress pit.  BUILDS CHARACTER!

(this is a troll post.  I don't believe everything I write here.  I'm trying to bait a reply, but now I've given it away!)

You could at least give me a thank you for giving you a trophy.  >:(

You guys.

I think Irvinehomeshopper really cares about you guys. He has 100 times more credibility than I do as I never bought an Irvine product in my life and my kids are only four, while his daughter is entering college. He lived through the entire Irvine product cycle and at the end of the cycle he is saying that it is bunch of false hopes and shattered dreams. It takes a real man to humble himself and admit he made a mistake and caring enough to tell you guys not make the same mistake he did. Where at the end lies false promises and hope.

I had a idiotic alias name of "Panda Dreaming of Irvine" when I started posting on IHB since 2007 who was crazy about Irvine. Even more crazy than Irvinehomeowner.

At first I just thought that Irvine home shopper was just some bitter person towards Irvine, but it took me three years to understand his wisdom and open my blind eyes to understand the truth to all his posts. I am very very grateful to him til this day. He has changed my life. Keep in mind, my wife's entire side of her family all live in OC and LA and they would have loved it for us to move to Irvine.

Sometimes you don't have to go through the mistakes yourself and can learn from the mistakes of others. Irvine Home Shopper has invested a great deal of time with his invaluable school data (where you can't find anywhere) to make his point. Haters will always hate, but I hope that a few on this board will understand Irvine Home Shopper's wisdom and make the best decision for their family.

I planned this goal a long time ago.

Buy in Irvine for the best schools. Send kid to the top college. Pick a career that makes a lot of money. With money then buy a lot of LV bags, drive fancy car and buy oversized $4m McMansion in Irvine.

Live happily after

PS. Eat 85 Celsius pastries.

This is a true story. Irvine teachers as

General speaking once you are in a high school where you have more Asian students than white students like Uni and Northwood..... the competitive school environment becomes unhealthy and your chances to get into an Ivy goes down while parents work overtime and have no time to spend with their kids. It is a lose/lose situation for both parents and kids.

I think what is more important is to discover your kids natural gifts and talents and support them, love them, and encourage them as parents to become their full potential as adults. Perhaps I am not into this whole status thing.. and don't really care if my children get into an Ivy or not.. but do care they become productive successful adults and I would be part of their lives. Life doesn't end once you get into the Ivy, it is just the beginning.

My best friend went to Harvard and now interviews Harvard applicants on his weekends. I will tell that we connect at a deep level as friends but we are very very different in our thinking. :) I am actually trying to convince him to investment in real estate but he is so scared lol. At the same time he can ace any scan tron exam you give him.
