Ideal location in Irvine (or OC) for single young professional to purchase a 3000 sf house?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
<p>Since you're single and want to stay that way there's some things you want:</p>

<p>1. No maintenance. Trust me, been there, didn't do that. That's the single guy plan. Low maintenance is good, maintenance done by others is better.</p>

<p>2. Appearance of moolah. This is OC, I'm cynical, for those days when you don't want to revel in the company of your single guy friends, the appearance of moolah will attract that special kind of girl. And by special, I don't mean a keeper. </p>

<p>3. someone to help keep that special kind of girl away when you don't want her around, in other words, a doorman or concierge.</p>

<p>What's that spell?</p>

<p>Marquee Park Place</p>

<p>Preferrably floors in the teens.</p>

Trooper, for every guy that never calls there is a girl looking for a free ride. I think NSR makes a valid point.

<p>I'm not encouraging the Hefner lifestyle, he said his intent is to stay a bachelor for at least the next twenty years, meaningful lasting opposite sex relationships probably aren't high on the list. </p>

<p>Consider it more of a comment on that visible segment of the population on both sides of the fence that play the game that way. </p>

<p>Thanks for all the responses. Marquee is the ideal location/environment but I did the high rise thing before and didnt care for it. They are very small, minimum privacy, no secure private garage and no back yard for the pets. But I do like the young environment in the building. If it was in a small subdivision it would be perfect.</p>

<p>In regards to Cab fare, I think Northpark and Woodbury would defintiely be a deal killer. I would hesitate to go out if I had to drop $60-70 for cab fair several times a week.</p>

<p>Turtle Ridge and Turtle Rock seem to be a fit, but I am coming to the realization there probably isnt an ideal location for my parameters. Somebody please tell me I am wrong.</p>

I currently live in the Turtle Ridge area and it really is convenient to the airport. I'll leave the house as soon as my husband calls me when his plane lands. He'll be walking out the airport when I drive up. We are definitely spoiled with this location. Plus the cab fare is only $26 including tip.

"<em><strong>you have more privacy in a SFR...</strong></em>"

Depend on the location. Most SFR in Irvine are surrounded by houses.

I live in a townhouse with no neighbor on three sides. Though connected on one side, my location is so private it has become a magnet for burglars. Irvine police has visited my place three times since I moved in 7 years ago.
