It wasn’t just west of Lake (the more “working class” area of Alt) that burned but also areas like where a high school friend and her NFL HOF Dad’s old house was or up in Kinneloa Estates.

P.S. Most EV owners don't run their battery down to zero. This is like me saying if you have no gas in your car and the nearest gas stations are on fire, how can you leave? Use some common sense bro.

Newsom Capitulates, Withdraws Bid to Regulate Electric Vehicles Sales, Phaseout Gas-Powered Ones

California is withdrawing a request for the Biden admin to approve its EV truck mandate. Under the rules, a large share of truck sales in CA and other states would have been forced to be electric by 2035. Less than 1% of truck sales are EVs.

Wasting more of our money by raising taxes to try and influence consumers is just that…a waste of money. Let the markets decide…ICE survives either way. 🤷🏽‍♂️😂😂😂🇺🇸
 
Not only is the ID Buzz overpriced but under ranged. Not even 300 mi on a family hauler is a no no for trips. Slow DC charging speed too.

Just wait until H/K brings their EV minivan over.

EV demand stalls out in California as automakers face zero-emission sales mandate

Demand for new electric vehicles has flattened in California, new sales figures show, raising questions as to whether automobile manufacturers can meet ambitious state mandates for zero-emission vehicle sales.

Aside from Tesla, which sells only EVs, no other major manufacturer will meet the state’s 35% threshold for zero-emission vehicles in the upcoming 2026 model year, said Brian Maas, president of the California New Car Dealers Assn.

“The data don’t lie,” Maas said. “The demand doesn’t match what the mandate requires. It’s just that simple.”

Ford Says Large Electric Trucks And SUVs Have 'Unresolvable' Problems

Ford CEO Jim Farley did not mince words while explaining some of the drawbacks of fully electric large SUVs and trucks.

“For larger retail, electric utilities, the economics are unresolvable,” Farley said.“These customers have very demanding use cases for an electric vehicle. They tow, they go off-road, they take long road trips. These vehicles have worse aerodynamics and they're very heavy, which means very large and expensive batteries.”

“Retail customers have shown that they will not pay any premium for these large EVs, making them a really tough business case,” Farley said.
