How much does the Irvine Company hate this site?

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program

Trooper,

It would probably be something along the lines of Project CHAOS, Project Minaret, Project SHAMROCK and others more recent (who will go unnamed). But somehow I don't think that TIC has access to such resources.

I know I'm stupid, but we have unsecured wireless Network here at Home so Neighbours within 150 feet are welcome to use it, I don't care....in fact over the last 15 months we've lived here I've actually told them that they don't need to pay for internet just find ours...our ISP make enough money...

I hope none of them have been making death threats to people otherwise I'll be in big trouble .

But to answer the OP, does IAC hate IHB? Probably, I'm sure many Realtors do too...after all, I've introduced a couple of Neighbours in the past after getting into conversations with them as to whether it's better to Rent or Own, I just told them to go to IHB and ask...after all, I'm an Engineer not a Realtor, I was seriously thinking of buying before I ran into IHB...so thank you Guys!!

I hope IHB never goes out of Business, I've met some great People here...keep up the good work!!

By the way, do I get a commission for introductions ?

just askin'

Bix, again I ask....is it legal. (and with names like "Project CHAOS", I think not) If not, the info is useless to IAC other than to fill some folders.

Trooper,

With program like these, "legal" is a very, very small addenda to the charter document. Yes they are "legalized", but if you were to look hard enough, you'd probably see these operate FAR outside the legal US legal system.

good luck

oh, and PeterUK.....secure that wireless connection. NOW. Criminals drive around with laptops looking for open sources such as yours.... they WILL hack and steal your personal banking information. Trust me on this one...I've investigated it. Firewall....now. please.

Yes Troop!!

But the Neighbours will be pissed!!

If the Thieves see how little I have in the Bank they will probably feel sorry for me and shove a couple of Twenties under the Door

Letting others share your unsecured wireless network?? I heard that's a "no, no" as others can capture your personal info. For example, there were stories on how guys would drive around neighborhoods to capture the wifi frequency to access your bank acct., email, etc.

Poor now, rich later.....they'll store your info and check it occasionally....wait for a better bank balance....then WHAMO, you are cleaned out.

These are not stupid people....I just wish they'd channel their intelligence toward the greater good !

I still remember this freakish experience back in the early 90's. An online buddy from Europe said he has the capability to see what I was doing on my computer. Of course, I didn't believe him so I dared him. Sure enough he wasn't kidding.

How can I explain this. Imagine you're at your computer typing your email, chatting with another member, viewing your bank acct. etc. And on my monitor, I can see everything that you do. Literally, seeing your mouse curser moving on my computer. Freaky, let me tell you.

reason, yes, I have an IT (Mac) Guy that can do this...it's amazing to watch the little arrow move around and open files etc...

OK, I'll get a new Router this weekend and set up the security, once someone recommends a good one...
