Oddly enough, that isn't the first time I've seen green kitchen cabinets. I've been seeing it more often in remodels (not just outdated avocado green '70s kitchens). I learned on HGTV that green is the color of the day, however they usually show it as a wall color. Many of the model homes you visit will have green walls in the kitchen and sometimes dining room (moreso last year), but cabinets is another thing.

I posted this in the wrong thread...

Looks like modern art to me, does it serve any purpose? northwood house

I'm going to go with loft/crawl space access. Great place to stash the Christmas decorations.

Here's a good one....work out AND stink up your closet !

This isn't too funky... it's just the first time I've seen faucets and handles laid out this way. Very interesting. I'll have to stare at it a while longer to decide if I like it or not. Seems a little clumsy.

[quote author="Astute Observer" date=1225405861]LOL. I think they just can't figure out how to install the sinks and faucets without getting a new, deeper cabinet, so they decided to rotate it sideway to fit. A complete wack job, and professional plumber/countertop installer won't do anything like this even if the owner put a gun to their head.

Yeah it sort of looks like the sinks they bought wouldn't fit the way they are supposed to go. You've got to wonder what the plumbing must look like beneath? You'd think it would be easier to have just returned the sinks. I can't imagine washing your face at the sink, having soap in your eyes, and not being able to find the hot / cold water in a jiffy.

It looks like a little tub you would wash a baby in. Funky indeed ! Also the shower tiles and vanity countertop clash terribly. Ugh.

The sink is conveneient for brushing your teeth and shaving while standing in the shower. The other sink is probably for brushing your teeth and shaving while using the toilet.

This picture is to show off the really sturdy bathroom counters.

"Let's see cleaned floor? Check. Cleared off counters? Check. I keep feeling there is something I forgot to do before taking pictures of the kitchen... Oh well, whatever it is I'm sure no one will notice."

Somehow going 95% of the way getting this room in picture ready shape annoys me more than the totally cluttered pictures. Maybe its just the fact that it takes... 5 seconds to move the big heaping bag of trash out of the shot.

LOL. I'll concede that if I were to sell a home in the future all my pictures would go through an OCD fine tooth comb before being uploaded on the MLS. I'd have to be in a coma to allow my kitchen to be photgraphed with a full bag of trash in front of the stove.

The ice box needs a little something to dress it up.

It has plenty of flair! Certainly above the bare minimum.

I feel the same about flair as Joanna.
