Forgot if I asked this already, which dealer did you use, and how much ADM did you have to pay?

Tuttle-Click Ford. Don't know what ADM means, but if you mean dealer's markup, then none.

A friend that owns a home in the Port Streets just visited for a couple days of golf and the Stanford-USC game - so much fun to see carnage on the farm..he remarked multiple times how pervasive Teslas are up here compared to Newport and OC. How pervasive are Teslas across Irvine?

Irvine has a ton of Teslas. You will probably see quite a few in Garden Grove (some cultural preference for Teslas that I have been made aware of). :)

If you were to set up a chair on any major street in Irvine (Jamboree, Irvine Blvd, Jeffrey, Culver) and observe for 10-15 mins, I would guess you'd see over 100 Teslas in that short period of time.

So just who, besides the average income earner in OC, can afford one of these virtue signaling plastic ovals?

Average electric car price hit $66,000 in the US, but that?s not the whole story

The average electric car price in the United States hit $66,000 last month ? a more than 13% increase year over year. That?s a bit disappointing since the promise has been that EV prices would come down, but this price increase isn?t the whole story.

One of the biggest complaints about electric vehicles remains their prices. They are unattainable for most consumers, even with subsidies
The average price paid for a new electric vehicle (EV) increased in June by 3.8% compared to May and 13.7% versus a year ago. The average price for a new electric vehicle ? over $66,000, according to Kelley Blue Book estimates, is well above the industry average and more aligned with luxury prices versus mainstream prices.

That?s a significant year-over-year increase, but it is in line with price increases for the broader car market, which was up 12.7% to $48,043 last month.

Misinformation at its best.

This is because most EVs are high-end bringing the average up... but there are a number of EVs under $30k (even without Fed incentive).

I've listed them before and you are just ignoring them.

They can be free?but if you can?t get one it?s just more pixey dust?none of those cars are buyable today?find one?you can?t. ;D ;D >:D

Yep, it's true, demand is so high for EV's for all types

Rainbow unicorns for all!

Actually, the supply of unicorns is close to 0?that?s why they are unicorns (they really don?t exist). For shits and giggles I just called three dealerships and none of them had any in stock, could tell me when they might have some, and all had an MSRP over $40,000. Unicorns indeed. ;) ;D

Not many sought after cars are in stock tpday because of the current supply chain crunch / over demand... not just EVs... so another irrelevant point by moredisinformation.

But... if you have the patience, you can order one or reserve from an allocation, just like any other car.

I've been shopping EVs for the last year so, I am very familiar with the ins and outs of what's going on... so you picked the wrong "facts" to stand by.

Here's some more unicorn/rainbow magic for you... EVs that not only reduce carbon emissions... but also clean them out of the air:
https://electrek.co/2022/09/14/this-zero-emission-mobility-zem-ev-captures-carbon/

carbon-capture-EV-ZEM-1.jpeg

Imagine driving behind a diesel truck spewing clouds of smoke into the air while your new fully electric vehicle cleans up its carbon emissions. This dream may soon be a reality. A team of 35 students from the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands has created a Zero Emission Mobility (ZEM) vehicle ? a fully electric, battery-powered EV that captures carbon dioxide (CO2) as it drives.

The students were tasked with creating a zero-emission car, but they took it a step further, developing a unique filter that can capture carbon, cleaning the air as it moves.

According to team estimates, the ZEM uses two filters that can capture up to 2kg (about 4.4 lbs) of CO2 as the EV travels 20,000 miles. Although this may not seem like much, around 10 ZEMs can absorb around as much carbon as an average tree.

This is no time for patience?the world is melting out from under us. We need more pixie dust!?not more excuses!(Unicorns and rainbows or bust!

Just in case you're interested... you can order a Bolt EV/EUV for MSRP ($26-28k) from a local dealership and get it in about 4-6 months... just in time for the new EV credits (although you probably won't income qualify).

And if you want the new Ford Bronco... good luck... wait time on those are 2 years plus for the preferred builds... the ones that are less in demand take about 6 months. And those are NOT EVs.

That?s not what the dealership told me up here. The Bolt EUV started at $40k+.  I hate the new Broncos. I?ll build my next one on a pre 1985 chassis.

Again proving your lack of EV knowledge:

https://www.chevrolet.com/electric/shopping/configurator?radius=250&zipCode=48362

Pick the 2023 model. The 2022 was more expensive.

Not what was currently available from the dealers. If you can?t buy it today for under $30k here what can the guy in Kansas or Tulsa get??the only thing available is a Unicorn or a rainbow.

Please refrain from posting in this thread unless it's something of value rather than your repeated rhetoric... this is not one of your political threads.
