What are you guys going to do for the holidays? A low carb Thanksgiving?  :) I need to plan my Thanksgiving menu soon.

Last night I made Orange Chicken w/ Rice (Honorary Chinese, remember?!?!) and had a broccoli salad w/ mandarin oranges, red onion, etc from the deli.

I saw a guy at Ralph's last night that I stopped to stare at, wondering if it was Homer.

Asian guy, really bulked up! Dressed in workout gear. No kidding he must have had about 8 dozen eggs in his basket!! I see him frequently. It's always the same thing. But he had this weird look on his face. Honestly, it seemed like he had so little body fat, he could barely make a facial expression because his skin was so tight. Almost like bad plastic surgery.

I said: "Homer?!? Is that you?? It's me - SoCal!"

So Homer is Asian- but is Korean? Because that would confuse things up a bit- every one of them is fit. There is this guy in the neighborhood with a very pregnant wife- looks like he fits the profile too :-)

Mission hunt Homer is on. BTW, I work very close to wherever he works if he is close to that consignment center :P I plan to drop in everyday around lunch time at that place for the success of our mission.

I plan to eat. I don't host anything, so I am off the hook partially, but I attend, and people pack me desserts to eat later  ::) I wish I could say no, but I will just drink coffee right after and hope it doesn't add up. Two birthdays, coming up one before Thanksgiving, one after. I have eaten the left over cake for all these years and I don't plan on stopping.

I've been confused about that, too. One moment he is welcoming me into his Chinese family. The next minute he says his parents made Vietnamese food for some festival or something? (I read that in this thread somewhere, don't remember exactly where.) Korean hadn't crossed my mind. Where did you see that? Maybe we should just ask him.

@homer:

You are already a fit guy and you are very active... seems like this diet is going to make you weigh less than my left leg.

IHO - It's not really a diet anymore... Just trying to eat better and maintain a healthy lifestyle  :D  You gonna ball manana?

Purely my imagination..

Of course! When you come visit at my home you must remove your shoes before entering and join me for some tea  :D

I think I'll be deep frying my Turkey this year, probably "cheat" on my "diet" and eat "real food"  :P

I was just doing what all Asian people do in my neighborhood when I say "Hi" to them...          :-\

That's Qwerty's generalization. I have done my own study and would like to present it at the end of the year, broken up village by village.  8)

CZ and Socal - I'm Austrian! My big brother also participates in this forum, he drives a blue minicooper, hates diets and loves garages that can accomodate 3 cars  ;)

Does he really drive a Mini?? I'm sure you've seen his car what with all the b-ball meet-ups. Therefore, I've got to sort of believe you.

I don't know. Iho just doesn't seem like a Mini Cooper man to me. I'd very surprised. If you have any cell pics, though, feel free to share with me.  :)

Yeah, I know. I've read a million times you own a van. I guess I thought that is Mrs. Iho's daily driver and yours is something else. Do you have two vans? I need more details so I can stalk you properly.
