Bruxie - Irvine

NEW -> Contingent Buyer Assistance Program
Went to Bruxie last night for the first time right before closing (only about 2-3 in line) and got a pastrami waffle, cheesecake waffle, and chocolate peanut butter shake.

I wasn't impressed by either of the waffle sandwiches.  They were "ok" but the waffle was far from crispy - In their defense I did take it home to-go so maybe it got soggy during the transport, not sure.

The highlight though was the chocolate peanut butter shake.  If any of you are peanut butter lovers, I highly recommend it - freakin' awesome.  I will return for the shakes, but pass on the main course.

My Hero... I have yet to try the Hokkaido Milk Tea, I think I'll go check it out this weekend.

What makes it different than other milk tea?

Last time I was at BP, I almost tried their ice cream filled macarons, but we immediately left BP to eat round 2 at Bruxie, haha.

I only know about Boiling Crab:

SoCal Warning: The shrimps have legs.

I actually don't like BC or KC, my relatives love it and I have to go with them (usually just order corn or chicken wings) and I end up smelling like The Whole Shebang for a day.

When I drive by Diamond Jamboree... you can totally smell it... bleh.

these are like crack at mortons - filet mignon sliders

Finally gave in and tried this place out. No line at 2:30pm. I ordered the Creme Brulee waffle. Waffle was perfect combination of light, sweet, warm, soft middle with crunchy exterior. I would come back and try a savory dish next time.

It is good but just not enough for me to want to wait in a long line. Same idea goes for 85 C bakery as well.

Aww, that's too bad!! That sucks! I still haven't made it over there. It's been on my "I'll eat there one day" list for months. I only eat out on Sunday afternoons so that chance never came around for Bruxie. I did try to stop by Eleven46 a couple Sundays ago. I was like, "Yes! Finally!!" Walked up. Dark inside. CLOSED Sundays! *Cry*. Now, where is the other nearest Bruxie - somewhere in Irvine?
