Appliances - Help Needed!

I got ripped by the company that handles the warranty for dishwashers in new IP homes.  My Whirlpool dishwasher is mediocre compared to my last Whirlpool dishwasher from my apartment when I was renting.  I called for service to fix it because it clearly has a problem cleaning my dishes and drying them, the tech came, did some diagnostics, failed to reassemble my dishwasher properly, cut his finger and bled everywhere, and dang near begged me to give him a good review as customer feedback.

For all that trouble, I received a bill 2 months later for $100.  Apparently Whirlpool judged my service call as being without merit according to the warranty and thus not covered, thus I owe them.  My dishwasher is still mediocre at washing and drying.

Those who bought the largest lg counter depth fridge last year- are you happy with it a year later?
I am looking at a similar model 24 cu ft counter depth LG : http://www.lowes.com/pd_618006-49317-LFXC24726S___?productId=50273971&pl=1&Ntt=lg+counter+depth

I am a bit undecided about which refrigerator to go with. I prefer the water dispenser inside the fridge as the look is cleaner and my super naughty toddler son can't mess with the water controls. But my husband prefers the water outside.

My other options are the kitchen aid architect series ii 22.7 cu ft (I've seen this for around 2,800 as well but can't find it on the lowes website right now)
http://www.homedepot.com/p/KitchenA...less-Steel-Counter-Depth-KFCS22EVMS/202799174

OR the smaller LG :

http://www.lowes.com/pd_495934-49317-LFC21776ST___?productId=4779969&pl=1&Ntt=lg+counter+depth

Any suggestions, recommendations? Any problems with leaks (I'm going to have wooden floors in the kitchen so a bit worried)

We have the counter depth LG(I think the biggest back then, forgot the model name), no complaint.  The only thing is the ice cubes from ice maker will stick together from time to time and you will have to pull out the ice bucket to shake and lose the ice inside.  Other than that no issues, very quiet and energy efficient.

I just went to Howards- and they recommended electrolux as being quiet. We are looking at LGs too.

Would you all recommend buying from Howards or Lowes?

We bought ours from Loews during 4th of July event and I like their service, one thing to consider is the extended warranty in addition to factory one.  Our LG unit runs super quite if the operating noise is something you are concerned.

Thanks! We just bought LG appliances yesterday from Lowes (July 4th promotion). We got the extended 5 year warranty- good to know that you like Lowe's service.  Everybody had more or less the same price on the appliances so it finally came down to cost of extended warranty and customer service reviews.
Thanks for your input!

My LG's have been working great. One day I got some prewash stain remover on the labels around the dial. After a few minuts later parts of the labels rubbed right off. It is a good thing that there is a display panel that shows you cycle selection.

Any ideas on which refrigerator has the best water filter? I'm leaning towards not going with a water filtration system if the refrigerator's filter can provide decent water quality.  Thanks in advance.

My experience with refrigerator filter has been a hit or miss. Sometimes it was so bad my kids would prefer to drink from the tab.
