Let's be honest. Most people (meaning me) wouldn't be caught dead in either! ;)

Unfortunately, I like numbers and patterns. The introduction of 4 being bad and 8 being good has altered my daily life.  For example, I get a little scared when I look at the time and see that it is 4:44.  I have an initial feeling of, "this isn't good".  :-[

We saw this Turtle Rock home last summer when it was listed for $1.1m (I think).

It's been delisted and now it's back on the market for $1.03m. I believe this is owned by an estate from what I remember the agent telling us.

We really like it and the kitchen is nicely upgraded. The problem was the bathrooms were all dated and the master was on the upper floor and the bedrooms were on the lower floor.

Here is the floorplan:

The "yard" space was also very small and no fence so not conducive to pets or adventurous kids.

But it was in the elevated part of TRock and had the 3CWG. The other things was the HOAs are almost $400 because there is a sub-association.

I'm surprised it hasn't sold but I recall some of these models were less than $900k 2 years ago.

That place looks pretty decent. The price doesn't seem that crazy being that it's in TR and 2400 sq. ft.  The association is pretty  :o .  Wonder what that money gives you beyond basics such as enforcing the 12 hours trash can rule, no obnoxious color homes, and cars on the grass.

Hah, the million dollar attached condo!

Funny to see the same Viking Professional range that I have there in that photo, they must have been real cooks, not poseurs

Heh... both 29 Lee and 4 McLean had a price drop:

29 Lee: $988,800 to $950,000
4 McLean: $980,880 to $938,000

I guess the owners of 29 Lee don't believe in the FCBs as much as 4 McLean does (although they do need to counter that 4 with the 8s).

For the home that just went pending as an example, what are your thoughts on having 2/3 of the bedrooms on the first floor? It may be because I have younger kids, but I kind of like having the majority if not all of bedrooms on the same floor. Obviously there are plenty of folks without these concerns and prefer a floor plan with majority of bedrooms on the bottom floor, or conversely, the master bedroom on the bottom floor. While the benefits of a 3 car garage are obvious :) , I kind of like bedrooms together.

I prefer all the bedrooms upstairs (old school).  We have 3 kids and we were looking at homes with 3 BDS upstairs and one downstairs until my 6 year old daughter volunteered to stay downstairs so that "she can see her boyfriend when she gets older"  I'm sure my 10 year old son put her up to that, but after that...no more.  All 4 BDS upstairs (with the shotgun)

I also know a family with a baby that sleeps upstairs, while they are sleeping downstairs.  And it is their only child.  I can't imagine doing this personally.  I prefer all the bedrooms on the same floor as well.  Though I may change my mind once they hit their teen years!

I can't imagine being on a different floor with any of my kids, even my one teenager who thankfully prefers to be on the same floor. Didn't deter me from the shotgun, though. 1 bedroom downstairs for guests is about as far as I can go. I have CERTAINLY ran into all different kinds of preferences in the bedroom location scenario, nonetheless, people definitely have different ideas about it.

@ bones, did you lost a bet with qwerty and qwerty made you post his picture as your avatar?

I hear his lost some weight but I didn't know he looks this good.
