I won't be getting 4k for a while.

1080p is good enough for most things... you only need 4k once you start getting into the 70"+ range just so everything doesn't get un-sharp. And I don't see enough content for the next few years anyhow.

This looks exactly like Mr. SoCal and I on one of our dates -- we just got another t.v.  ::) Many of you guys also seem like the guy in the commercial below.  :P

Costco is selling that Hi-Sense 4k 55" TV for $1999.

Tempting... but I'm still waiting. Almost pulled the trigger on a 60" Sammy but I think I'll go 65" or 70" because you know what they say about guys with big TVs...

... they end up having big bellies from sitting around and watching them all day (I already have a head start).

Costco.com needs a "Check availability in local warehouse" feature.

Usually their online inventory isn't the same as their warehouse inventory and it would be nice to see what they have stocked locally.

I'm capitulating, might just get a 60" instead of a 65" or 70".

Get the biggest you can afford, quality being equivalent.  Size matters with TVs.

I think the only problem is the room it is going in isn't very big. I currently have an old 52" in there and that already looks large for the space.

If I get a house with a large media room... that's when I'll go bigger... and TVs will probably be cheaper by then.
